Welcone to the forum, I am not sure of any good spots, I am not familiar with that area, but the flint river is good, but it is tricky to fish

. today was a cold and breezy day, but warmed up a bit later on. The people that attendet were Andy, Daniel, Austin, Kyle, Brian, Tom, Bill, Lil Andy, Brandon, and myself. Today was a good day almost everyone caught. Bill and Brandon didnt end up getting one, but Bill was getting some nice hits on his rods. Lil Andy got 1 carp his biggest being 9lb 8oz. And i got 2 carp with my biggest being 12lb 9oz which took the pin. ( correct me guys if i am wrong with the numbers.)
we all had a great time though, and it was nice getting to fish all togther again and meeting a new person, and getting him familiar with the group. Looking forward to seeing you some more this year kyle.
Andy ended up with 8, His biggest being 11lb 9oz

Austin got 1 catfish and 1 carp, austins biggest carp was 5lb
kyle also got 1 carp and his biggest was 7lb 11oz
brian got 3 carp, but 1 being a cool looking mirror carp and his biggest carp was 8lb 8oz
Tom got 2 his biggest was 5lb 12oz
And i got 2 carp with my biggest being 12lb 9oz which took the pin

This will be Austins and my second time for this tournament, looking forward to it!

Today Daniel, Austin and I went out fishing today cause the weather was suppose to be nice. When Austin and I arrived today Daniel was already down at the spot all set up. So we get our spots and set up and start fishing. The weather was nice, kinda cloudy and seemed like it was going to warm up. Daniel got his first fish shortly after Austin and I got our lines in the water, and it turned out to be the biggest of the day, then shortly Daniel got another one. It was smaller but had sweet scales,
Then the weather takes a turn for the worst it starts to sprinkle alittle and gets really cloudy. Then about a half hour later Daniel gets another carp it was alittle bit smaller than the last one. Austin and I our hoping it turns out to be a good day cause everytime we went out here it has been bad conditions and we haven't got anything. Finally Austin hooks up into one, it ripps off line on the initial take, it ended up being a small guy, but it had sweet fins. Then he gets into another, and it is bigger than the last one.
Just after that it starts to rain harder and hail, also the wind picks up and it was still cloudy. It took awhile for me to get my first one, I landed my first one just aftrer 11 oclock, it was small. After that Austin gets into his biggest of the trip a nice one, funny scales on him. then about 11:30am Austin gets into another one, but it was small, still a fish though.Almost 12 Austin gets a really nice wild goldfish, then just after that I get into my second biggest of the day, it had nice colors on it. just after that I get my biggest of the day which is just smaller than austins biggest of the trip.
then the rain and hail slow down but the wind is still there . Then out of no where daniels middle rod goes off, it was a drum, then 3 min later he gets a small wild goldfish, then 3 min later he gets another wild goldfish. after it calmed down Daniel gets a decent fish. less than 10 min I get into a really fat fish, but it wasn't too big. then the last fish of the day is austind wild goldfish.

I had a great time, getting out and fishing again. and had fun on the bank.

I will at the least be at Rich's in the morning. I can bring some dogs and chips, unless you want something else. Don't know about the fishing yet. We are putting house up for sale and I have lots to do. 90 % sure I will be fishing. Daniel, I will also bring that hemp seed. Rumor has it Dru is passing out free manly made boilies?
