  1. Welcome to the forum and welcome to the Hoosier carpers,we have our own board as well (http://indianacarptalk.invisionzone.com/)my name is Dale Anderson (Bigdaddy Carpster)i've heard there are a few carpy holes in your neck of the woods, but haven't had a chance to explore...hope to see you on the bank!

Thanks for the welcome Dale. There are some decent carp waters around me but unfortunately they are all flooded out at this time. Cataract Lake (Cagils Mill) is my home lake but currently the water is up into the trees an unfishable for us bank fishermen. I also like to fish Monroe Res. but it too is over 50 feet above summer pool and fishing is very limited. I have to travel a good distance to find a spot to fish this spring. I fished the Hoosier Carper trail tourney a few weeks ago up in Hammond, IN. I only got one bump in 9 hours and was soaked and frozen for my efforts. There were some nice fish caught but as you know, the luck of the peg draw has a lot to do with how the fish bite. I can't wait for the weather to stabilize so that the fishing opportunities will improve. I'll be in Michigan the second week of July to fish with my brother-in-law. I'm sure that I will get into so good carp up there on Ford Lake and lake Erie. Good luck to you this year!

  2. My name is Roy Buchanan from Greencastle, IN. I am a member of the Hoosier Carpers and a new CAG Member. 2011 will be my second year of serious carp fishing. I just want to thank the Hoosier Carpers for all that they do for carp fishing and the carp fishermen (and women) in Indiana. I have never been a part of a group that makes you feel more welcome and that is so passionate about what they do. I joined CAG to support our sport and hopefully expand my list of carp angler friends. Plus it gives me a chance to send pics and keep up with my brother in-law Bill who lives in Michigan and has recently joined CAG. He may not admit to it but he was once a die hard bass fisherman until last summer when I introduced him to the great sport of carp fishing. He has never looked back and I think he may have carp fever worse than me. Look forward to seeing many of you on the bank this summer.
