I also use a similar mix with ground corn, oats and bird seed. I prep the ground corn and bird seed first by putting the corn and bird seed in a large pot than just covering with water, i keep lake water in gal jugs for this, heat the corn to boiling, you must stir allmost all the time to keep the corn from burning and sticking to pot. After it is very hot I put a lid on the pot and let it sit overnight, The next day the corn mixture will be sticky as some of the sugars will have cooked out of the corn mixture. than add enough oats to make a packable mixture. I sometimes use cinnimon and cayenne pepper as flavors, or boil the corn in pineapple juice and water. Just use your imagination I dont think the ingredients are as important as just having confindence in your mixture all though I have also added hemp seed and ground tiger nuts which i plan on using again. Just have fun making it there are no rights or wrongs. I dont feel like you have to match the flavors of your ground bait to your hook bait, sometime i match sometimes i dont
