also good to see it wasn't all pole stuff but long range slider float in the chop with 7ssg floats. have tried to master this technique and its one of the hardest things i've tried. just seeing the float in the chop even when its under shotted is hard enough but feeding and keeping the line sunk properly....you've got to take your hat off to this guy. legend!

quality stuff guys. a very well done on all the hard work locating those beauties.
-
you could try a snowman rig.....one sinking boilie then a pop up as a double on the hair. also boil your hookbaits for longer and up the flavour level so they wont suck up the bottom smells so quickly.

bri.......my total and utter pleasure mate ha ha!
-
don't want to get too far away from what was yet more great captures by bri but the last i will say is your almost right carpman fla . just replace 'c' with 'sh'. got it now?!
bri...love your posts mate and would love to fish down there maybe with you sometime but i cannot resist posting this!

now that is what you call rivalry!

very nice bri. good to see people intrigued with your fishing.
from the superior force that is the villa!

hi there
you could try this mate which will work with most baits.you just need a needle/crochet hook and some stops..............

disagree with your antics? thought your other thread was very interesting stuff mate and i didn't disagree at all. horses for courses and all that but a 31lber in what looks like a crayfish trap? now i definitely disagree with that. not a nice sight!

brilliant stuff man
im made up for him! well done mike.

hi marius
had a rather excited call from mike of the tooth although i hear he's had it fixed lately! about 3am this morning i had a call at work and he must of said " im pooped" a dozen times and had obviously had a few celebratory shandy's. please can you post the pics up matey as im sure it would make him over the moon for a little while longer.
things like this reinforce the good the cag does as mike is one man who has definitely caught the carping bug bad!

of course you could believe the suns version which manages to link it to presscarp! oh and as usual it makes it bigger and better by adding two stone even though it was'nt weighed properly. no matter how much it weighed though its still a very impressive fish.
check out the guy by the tail with the rod between his teeth even though he isn't really holding the fish!

very nice brian. well done on the fish and sounds like a good time was had by all. great pioneering!
just for the record, whats a hush puppie? surely you weren't eating grilled shoes?!

hi all
not sure whether i'm qualified to give my opinion not living your side ,but having fished two of em your going to get it anyway!
alot of talk about dead pegs here. well what's a dead peg? somewhere that has not fished due to the weather?
look at this year for example.......the creek did well first day then dave and al drew there second day and as soon as i saw their draw i said game over. what did they catch? i rate them up with the best but they caught diddly.
i've heard the the talk about the creek before but it was about dropping those swim's from the atc as people caught too many fish! at the end of the day you had a hot spell just before, then a colder spell during, then mixed weather after. the carp did'nt know what they were doing and went through the motions for the whole week after.
what to do on the date? well i say keep it the same because apart from 1st street and a couple of spots, a good peg one day does not fish the next!
we came second the first time round with over 400lb but had two swim's that seemed devoid of fish this year. although we caught it was'nt about that for me and james at all. it was about learning new stuff, fishing hard for that one bite but ultimately having fun.
i love the whole social aspect of the atc and for me its one of the main reasons why i've travelled near enough 5000 miles each way twice to fish it! don't underestimate the part of all meeting up and having a laugh.i find it a breath of fresh air compared to the cut throat(literally) scene we have here.
to those who say its all about catching i'd say that would'nt be fishing.nobody's got a given right to catch so get real, its about being there!
regards
andrew
p.s can those people that mention the dead area's start naming them as i think history will say otherwise.
pps it would possibly be better if the pegs were chosen on current weather conditions a week or two prior instead of past atc's.....just a thought!
edited to say about pressure! do people think town carp are getting smarter just because of recent results? it makes me laugh to say there's 'pressure' on a lake over 400 acres that see's for the most part, two anglers a week apart from atc. they might be line shy but they certainly are NOT pressured and they aint getting any more clued up because. its down to the WEATHER more than anything else!

maybe the magician made it disappear
maybe the magician should of made himself disappear.

that's either sean manning with john tilbrook or roger smith of savay fame with an unknown. if its the former its about five years ago or the latter about 15 years although the rod pod has confused me.
-
that's very cool marius. not a bad first carp eh! nice avatar as well.
-
nice one stewart, especially like the heavy scaled mirror. i reckon your son might well be hooked now for life!
-
looks like you had great fun even though the fishing wasnt as good as normal. hope te larry now has a grip on you like it has me.definitely my favourite place to fish in the world!
nice one.
-
its probably 16 or 17lb as he's holding it out and you can see his hand and reaching all the way round the wrist of the tail.
-
nice pics mate. well done.
-

"Hoards of anglers are now set to flock to the Rainbow lake near Bordeaux to try and repeat the feat. "
for the umpteenth time from swim 19 at 200.3 yards range.
i'm happy for the guy but its each to their own and i certainly won't be 'flocking' to the 'circus of weight is everything' anytime soon or ever!
The kid had one heck of a day
