  1. apparently, he caught fishing out of a float tube. there are other pics of him with monster pike in there as well but it's odd that its only surfaced now. another angling times sensational headline soon to be followed by them wheeling out their experts doubting it. after three weeks of headlines they will expose it as a photoshop job in yet another exclusive.

  2. Congratulations! On your 1,000th post.

yes it's taken a long while and seeing as i joined on th 2nd of april 04, i thought i'd make my 1000th effort an april the 1st 2011 post a bit early! no suckering you though hammer was there!

seriously though, i have thoroughly enjoyed being on this board. yes there is the odd squabble but for the most part it's cameraderie all the way.

    thanks all

  3. this forum is getting on my man moobs. all i ever see on here is you supposed second class carpers hauling out one big usa carp after another. im getting sick of how easy it is to catch carp over there. when are you lot going to run up 20 blank trips in a row and get with the real carp anglers of this world? do you all not know that blanking is the way forward and proves your carping ability? your so behind the times over there! i just cant relate to you all any more. my fishing tackle is becoming just a mere tarty decoration of the fishing bank and it's for this reason i have decided to throw in the towel with this forum.get with the program and just realize fishing tackle is for posing only and i might change my mind.

happy hauling and see you all at the happy hauling lake in the sky. yes that's the next place i'm likely to get a bite from!

p.s please enjoy the picture of my last decent catch to understand my reasoning. yes it's a dead bait and a p.b peice of ice. bet you can't beat a catch like that now can you as none of you get the real world of carping. don't even think of catching the dead bait either. real carpers get theirs off the fish counter from the supermarket.

best regards and what a bl(w)anker i am.

  4. oh man that saddens me hugely.

the man was an absolute pioneer and all round top bloke.

a few years ago i went to his shop when i fished in austria and bought a whole load of bait off him. i have kept a few boilies back as i regarded him in such high esteem.special occasion boilies if you like... i will use those last few remaining boilies sparingly and attempt to catch a grabmeyer carp in his honour. hopefully, eric unger will keep building the rods.

if there is an after life...i hope he's hauling now!

  5. Greetings All , My name is Ken W, better known as "carpinken" . I am 30 years old and a life long Hudson Valley resident . The Hudson is my specialty along with other waters in Dutchess , Orange , Putnam and Ulster counties .

To anyone wishing to explore this scenic region feel free to pm me . I am always willing to give advice on this region from a local's inside perspective . Any one wishing to share a bank or if you just need local insight on spots please shoot me a line .

As for the Hudson Valley region , It is known to produce great numbers of fish during peak times of the season . Also the Hudson has and does produce serious lumps . MANY 30's and even a few 40's . and I am sure there's bigger that just haven't been caught .

    hey mate

that's a real nice post and i might just take you up on your offer sometime. do you ever fish anywhere near troy? i will be down there sept next year and would love to fish that river with you and my brother.

thanks for sharing your fishing! edited to say your post is what cag is all about! less bitching and more shared fishing!

    cheers

  6. scott, louis, dave, mark m, tommy, noddyberg, phone, the kernel and even karl the controversial amongst may others. what have they all in common? they have all had a big part of cag......and........ i met them all through cag in person and liked them all!

i keep coming back to america to fish and part of the reason (but not all) is cag and the many people i now call mates through it!

i haven't met andy or mario yet but really look forward to spending time on the bank at a cag event with them some time in the future.

    andy and mario

i wish you both the best guys and hope it doesn't interfere with your fishing too much. on the contary, i hope you get out fishing more, especially with the membership!

it doesn't really matter what has happened politically in the past now. it's time this forum stopped beating itself up. lets get on with it and that means all!

    is it election time yet?

    regards

    andrew
