  1. There were a couple locals who stopped by my peg at the last tournament and indicated interest in the November 24 event. I gave them my web address and told them to sign up. They did not officially register. But, if we have some walk-ups on November 24, should I allow them to choose pegs after the 16 registered anglers have chosen? There will be 24 pegs from which to choose. On the other hand, we all know what happens to the bite when things get crowded at Bicentennial. Let me know what you think either here on this thread or on Saturday morning. Thanks.--Frank

    Frank,

I say let them in, more money in the pot...atleast you have 16 pre registered already...just my 2cents

  2. I would like to thank everyone that attended and especially Jim Donlan of Westside Bait and Tackle for the door prizes. We had 6 people that attended this social (BAD WEEKEND DUE TO EASTER). All in all it turned out to be a good weekend for carp fishing and CAG Membership. I was able to sign 2 new members with another 7 possible.

Friday pre-fishin Gilbert Huxley and Bill Smith landed 7 with the biggest being 17lbs before 6pm. Atleast, that was the report they gave us when we arrived at 1pm on Friday. By the time we got unloaded and set up, it was getting close to fishin start time at 8pm. Here are some nice pics.post-6411-0-59744300-1333990250_thumb.jppost-6411-0-14754100-1333990279_thumb.jppost-6411-0-44998700-1333990317_thumb.jppost-6411-0-44998700-1333990317_thumb.jppost-6411-0-45456500-1333990393_thumb.jp[post-6411-0-52548500-1333990421_thumb.jpattachment=65647:fishing 035.JPG]

We all got set up and chummed our areas and had a nice pork chop dinner before the night fishing started. Wasnt much action going on through the night except me yelling grab the net for a 3 inch baby bass and a 10 oz channel cat..lol....i wished i had pics....it had been raining and I was focused on getting these 2 monsters in while standing there in just my socks.....a sight you had to see for yourself.

Then comes Sat morning, when I was thinking to myself (did I pick the wrong place). It was about 11am when the local police stopped by to talk about our gear. I was in mid sentence with the officer when I heard GRAB THE NET coming from my wife. I ignored her at first, like i usually do..especially when she has the bigger PB common. I grabbed the net and mat and went to her rescue. She hooked into what looked to be a flipper, so she continue to real her fish in. When it landed in the net, I knew it was going to be all over...AND I MEAN ALL OVER THE INTERNET....this fish could have posed as a 40 pounder...as you can see....it was over 30...a PB for Indianapost-6411-0-80521700-1333991151_thumb.jppost-6411-0-47127000-1333991182_thumb.jp

After being there for alittle over 24 hours, I guess the locals got the feeling that they wanted to fish for bass and blue gill in our swims...post-6411-0-56520200-1333991596_thumb.jp

I casted out like I usually would, and my dough ball landed inches from their boat. I think they got the idea, cause they moved after that...lol

Thats my report, I hope you enjoy....Tony Stout
