That Bigger fish to the right on the 3rd pic is a creek chub but the rest seem to be shinners.

Ive seen them from a light yellowish almost white color to dark brown and some almost black it all the depends where they come from and the water color.

Oh great here I'am spending hours catching bait like creek chubs and bluegill and spending hours trying to catch big flatheads when all I have to do is fish with maize!! I bet you feel pretty special dont you!!! lol j/k nice flathead bro.

Chum with and use sweet corn on a float, or my favoirte is throwing out a crap load of bread and dog food on the surface and then throwing out your bread folded on your hook so it floats right out beside them after they start to feed.

Biggest is 26lbs caught but my friend got ahold of one and lost it next to the bank that made the 26lber look stupid! my guess is maybe 45-50 pounds. May some of them arent sterile? all i ever heard is that they have like a 2% chance of it so maybe over the years a few have managed. Thats the best i can come up with.

I fish a small city lake here in ohio and they stocked it with a bunch of grass carp all in the 2-4lbs range about 12-15 years ago, although there a tons of them in the 40-60 pound range there are quite a few that are only 10-20lbs. (some even smaller than that) I talk to the guy that runs the lake and he said that they only put them in that one time. It is possible that they could be reproducing? Any other pound I fish in only has the few that were there in the first place. If they do reproduce is it the bigger water that helps?

Has any of u tried to ice fish for carp? If so where do u fish, what bait do u use ect.. Winter is comming up and if u can catch carp through the ice it would make my whole winter.

theres just to many and they reproduce like crazzy so there is really no way to get rid of them. And besides they are food for just about every other fish that swims.

Yea, I always see bluegills trying to eat bass eggs. I bet they eat there fair share of carp eggs to.

Yep, the funny thing is that the have limits on bass but nobody follows them because the lake is owned by the city and not state so wildlife officers have no say on fishing regulations there and in return cant bust anyone for not following rules. So there is really nobody to enforce those rules. Execpt the park manager who is never there.

The bass population is very low and they think its because of the carp. No matter how many times I tell them that its people doing it by keeping every bass they catch no matter what the size is. Its a small city lake what do they expect people are always taking bass out of there and they think its the carp (even the grass carp ) for some stupid reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!
