I plan on going Sunday and do some carping, just trying to figure out what side of East Potomac Park is best to fish of of, towards the main potomac facing Va, or the other side that faces the DC waterfront???

Unfortunately I do not arrive in DC until the 19th and my stuff will not be there until mid December. I got a 42-inch landing net. Handled a 45lb Catfish caught in Whales, so I think I will be good..lol...

What is the fishing like in the Winter for Carp int he Potomac and Tidal Basin?? I have been stationed int he UK for 6 years and am coming back to DC with all my capr gear (stocking up on boillies as we speek) this winter and wodnering if I should leave it packed up until the spring hits.
Also what size boillie are best for those waters. I mainly use 15 and 18, but have caught a few on the 20 and 24mil boillies here int he UK
