I intend to go to Trashmore lake on Saturday morning for some carping. I'm gonna make some bait. Have any of you ever scented cornmeal with Anise before? How did it work?

Hey folks. I used to fish the James River in Lynchburg, VA very heavily for carp and big shovel heads. All I had to take for bait was Quaker instant oatmeal for the Carp and crawlers to catch sunfish for cats. I wore the Carp out on that plain oatmeal regularly and had a personal best of 33#'s. I've moved to the Virginia beach area now and we have an old trash impound lake here that has a lot of big Carp that don't get fished for very often. My problem is that the oatmeal doesn't seem to catch anything but channel cats here. Where can I buy some high quality, proven Carp bait online? What are your suggestions?
