You all know I would love to see Alum as a venue but be aware that Galena ramp anytime in August could be ugly.

The boating fraternity may have a significant role to play there, and they are not exactly polite.....having said that whatever you decide will be fine by me, it is only round the corner for me. What about Hoover?

PS. I must head back to the UK for good in late September - early October, I will have no choice in the matter.

A great weekend, great organization and all in a good spirit of companionship and good nature.

The fish were there laughing with (at) us all weekend. I actually think the White River is a great venue, excellent facilities, easy parking and plenty of reasonably priced accommodation available. 10 / 10.

[Mitchell 300...a true fishing/carping classic]

Anyone ever use the Mitchell 440 match with the automatic 'finger dab bail'.... the waggler anglers dream reel... until the finger dab packed in.. then you couldn't open or close the bail arm, which was a bit of a problem.

When they worked, they were great, when they didn't they were as much use as a chocolate firegaurd.
