    you should be fine with either. last time i fished the river i used 2 but if either can be used. but some use 3. the weather's been pretty good lately so i dnt see the current being to much of a problem. should need anything bigger the a 3.

    Well fished this new venue yesterday for about 6 hrs with only 3 cat fish about the size in the pic. So i figured im gonna hit it again today as i promised id take my nabor's daughter fishing. we did a 5 hrs session with alot better results today. About 5:30 this afternoon my baitrunner took off and landed a very nice 17.5 common,rebaited and casted back out in almost the same spot.. I sat back for a min and wondered why my alarm didn't go off when the fish took it,pulled on the line and still nothing the dummy (ME) forgot to turn them on.lol opps. so anyways anout 15 mins later 5:45 the same rod runs again but this time with the alarm sreaming with a nice little fight i landed a very nice 22.14 common.. About 6:15 came and the alarm went screaming again and landed a little cat about the size in the pic,released it and just as we were getting ready to pack it up and call it my nabors daughter's rod went off i set the hook and gave her ther rod to reel it in and she got it 1/2 way in and asked for help so i finshed reeling it in for her but she was so really excited to catch a fish as she had been waiting all day for it,as u can see she was really excited.Love to see kids get into capring & fishing,to see the joy on their faces just makes it so enjoyable... :) we released it back to get bigger and packed up. All in all it was a great afternoon of fishing with some great results and wat a way to end a blanking spell of carp anyways... The ccc is on this weekend and should be a fun weekend anyways fish or not just to be around alot of awesome people & anglers from other state and or own & seeing old caping friends and hopefull meet some more great people and friends as well... Anyways now i wrote a book,lol i hope all had a great & safe weekend and hope the ones that got to get out there this weekend had a great time with some awesome fish.... i can feel the passion... :) tight line to all :)

    Thanks jimmy for all the hard work and effert that u always do to put on a great event. Thanks for all the support u do to always make a memoriable event and for the sport of carping....U alway go over and beyond,thank you for all the awesome support and to make it memoriable. Your the man and should be the 1 to be crowned carp king.. thats my oppion....

    great work guys and gals thank you for the hard work and the great effort to bring this ccc here in indianapolis and getting really excited to fish it. days are counting down. again thank you for all ur hard work and thanks jimmy for aways trying your best to always make these events sooooo very enjoyable... kudo's to all that helped...

    awww ok thats cool. well if throw any jr carp tournaments i sure will post it as im sure there will be 1 or 2 maybe more coming in the future of 2014. and ur daughters more then welcome to come and be a part of it. It will be for all kids under the age of 18 that wants to join. be glad to have ur suport and ur daughter come to our events. im trying to put together some very special and awesome for the kids and for them to enjoy wat we all like to do caping.

    So proud of you McKenna! You truly are a great carper... The other day McK says, "Daddy, how old do I have to be to start fishing carp tournaments? Will they let a kid girl in?And when I win, I get prizes and cash, right?" PRICELESS, I just love this kid to death!!!

    Im not sure where u live but in 2014 im getting a jr carping club going and probly will be doing some jr tournaments and the goal is to get a team good enough to compete against other jr teams from other states. Looks like u got a great little carper started there great job and congrats on the pb's.

    Forecast i seen online it said friday and sunday was suppose to be nice but there was 60% chance of showers on saturday. but het this is indiana so the weather changes at a drop of a dime. lets just hope all 3 days are good... :)

    well maybe with others as i yet to caught only 1 sucker out of the river and that was last year. havent caught anything all summer there so hopefully the fall bite if alot better and do me right. :) but then again at the river its all luck of the draw... maybe this time ill get the luck and get a gd producing peg.lol if not hopefully the other indiana boys will have gd luck if i dont.lol

    i am looking forward to next weekend for all 3 events. im hoping that hubbards does me good as its been producing some nice fish lately. :) kinda diapointed that the river is only 2 rods tho. :( but as always i go with the flow... i wonder if 3 rods can be used at hubbards or if thats gonna be a 2 as well.
