  1. Outstanding! That swim is tough which is why pre-baiting is key. Well done!

it is tough! I thought it was me. First time I fished it I had 2 runs with a lost Koi and a 18+ common. Then a bunch of skunks till it froze.Last nite was my first time this year. Lots of debris, weeds and snags. The bottom seems to be very silty, at least the areas I've fished
  2. Got my first Koi today. After losing one late last fall I had them on my Target List. 2days of pre-bait and a session after work today and I netted a brute at 19lbs 2 ozs. Awesome fight!!post-8866-0-61593400-1429067065_thumb.jppost-8866-0-95035800-1429067161_thumb.jp

  3. So I've been dying to do a CAG fish in. I got back from the Dominican last night and missed the fishin Saturday. Iain was nice enough to give me the location so I was on the bank early in the same spot they fished yesterday. I've fished this spot a number of times last fall and have had some good success there.iwas joined later by fellow CAG er Don. Today was my lucky day as I put 4 fish on the bank from 15 to 23-7 lbs.Iain was nice enough to stop by and say Hello. Thanks for coming by guys!!! 4. I was actually going to add cracked corn into the mix. Do you prepare it the same way as whole corn? I do have a SPOMB and a spod. thats probably the best way but slow. I spread around 5 lbs. of mix on a couple spots on chosen swim. I do this before work. Gonna have to get up earlier I guess.

  5. So last year my per bait was limited to soaked and boiled maize with vanilla or anise oil. This year I'm going to add some pigeon feed to the mix. I've read you don't have to soak or boil just scald the bird feed. Is this correct? I'll continue to use a baiting spoon till I finda better delivery system, but I'm not content with the limited range of the spoon. How do you guys pre-bait? What else can I add to the mix? I was thinking about peanuts. Thoughts?

  6. Hey Donnyboy, I am right down the street in Rockland. It would be great to catch up with you when you are out scouting the south shore. Have you tried the Taunton River? I have fished with that Lefty guy, good guy, might be new to carp but knows his fishing.

be back this weekend Chris. Probably fishing local Sunday. Let me know if you want to come my way.
  7. I'd try pre-baiting. Still pretty early for the fish to be real active I would think .Free food might get them into the area you want to fish. Probably don't need a lot but something going in on a regular basis would up your chances of finding fish.
