  2. If your not here, You are missing out

Perfect weather, lots of fish, great company, and an atmosphere friendly to all carp anglers. So far we have 61 anglers hundreds of fish, a big fish at 15-6 and the smallest in the money fish at 5-10. Advanced division big three is 30-6 currently.

Great fishing expected tomorrow, come on out, like Grahme Johnston's Fantail

  3. For those of you unfamiliar with the Dixon Carp Derby this is our Seventh (7th) Year.

The event is open to all who appreciate and respect Catch and Release Carp Angling and conduct themselves as Good Sportsmen and Sportswomen.

This is an open Derby so expect people to move, fish close by, and  to sometimes tangle lines if you fish by the dam or other more popular spots (rarely are these winning spots.).

Don't forget besides the Amature,  Boys and Girls Division there is the

ADVANCED DIVISION for the hard core carp anglers which is based on your Three Largest Carp.

Entry to the Advanced Division is $45.00 ($30 is added to the payout pool which is already primed at  $600.00 before any entrees to insure the Advanced Division Pays more than the Amature event PLUS!!!! YOU ARE STILL ELIGIBLE TO WIN THE  GRAND CHAMPION TROPHY AND $500 additional for Catching the Largest Carp of the Combined events......!!!

With Less than 20 Advanced Anglers you have the potential to win over $1000.00 !!!

Because of the nature of 5th combined event and the areas of fast water remember there is  no loose baiting allowed other than 8oz. of canned corn per day, hand introduced only. Method, PVA, PACK-Mix, and boilie strings are accepted as long as the cast is intended to fish.....not to bait-up.

  4. All I can say is I spent every free moment fishing this lake in High School 34years+ ago for Bass and Pike. Was close enough to the house to ride a bike with a fishing vest and a rod....and only a couple houses from cousins that if I was to tired I could talk my uncle into driving home....after diner. Later in college it would be the lake to hit between classes or to meet buddies. It was the best public pond no-one fished....till word finally got out with a  newspapers front page 40"+ pike caught on hot dog by a 9 year old kid.....then things were never the same.

The was the down stream sister lake to a known Match Angler Favorite, and home to a 3000 people fishing derby (on a 45 acre lake).

I had a few young guys I got into carp fishing looking for a close place  to try....about the same age as me when I use to fish there....so I told them of the lake.....and another close by with Mulberry trees everywhere...which they had no luck at so they tried my old stomping grounds......I'll be honest, I never fished for carp there.....who knew...

  8. You know It Seems We Have Been Conditioned Here To Think We Can't Post Our mind, OR Ideas Without The Fear Of Crossing The Tackle supporter line and I applaud your effort to share your knowledge and expertise with the club. Might be nice if you were to make a Commemorative rod for the CCC  winner (or looser). Or better yet, as a prize for the best member written article submitted for the News Letter over the coarse of a year (chosen by you, with your connection to the News Letter it would be Cool Symmetry). I'm sure we could put out a collection to pay for it in the donation section to help offset the cost. Would be a nice promotion to help spur the news letter, and the publicity you get would be a win-win.

This is exactly the type of thing that is good for.....

    THE AMERICAN CARP SCENE

    CAG

    IT'S MEMBERS

The Carp world here would be a lot further along if more folks started ground up businesses in there basements and garages. And as a club we have been pretty lax in encouraging that since those types of businesses are more likely to offer member discounts and support individual and local events which can build membership.

    Good luck!!!

  12. Obviously there is still a lot of work going on for the site up grade for one person, and I hate to make more work for him so I thought to ask a few questions and to hopefully answer some questions others have as well.....

    1) Realistically, When should we be able to expect access to back to lets say 85% of normal?

    2) Will there be away to change from the phone mode back to full screen from a phone.

    3) The prompts when you try to bring up content are saying there is no content. I assume it's the system still rebooting....so before we let you know on that stuff how much time do you need so you don't get bothered with questions on specific threads....?

Anyway, thanks for taking on the herculean task!
