    Yes, Larry. My wife and I were at a wine tasting event, and when we returned home, I had a voicemail from Wisconsin Conservation Officer Dan Nehls. He asked that I call him back because he had been informed that I was conducting a tournament in Milwaukee, and he wanted to ask me some questions about tournament parameters. I immediately returned the call, and we had a nice conversation. I had checked Wisconsin Tournament rules before I had scheduled the event, so there was no problem with my contest.

    I asked him how he got my name and number. He said he was not at liberty to tell me who called, but I bet I could nail it in two guesses. As you know, we've dealt with those calls before. The grade school games get a little tiresome, but I guess some people never grow up. They will be juveniles forever. ;):rolleyes: :lol:

    I literally laughed out loud reading this.. I can't believe someone actually called DNR about your event.

    There's great water all around Illinois. I'm finishing my tenth year in the Corps and coming back to Illinois (Bloomington address) next month. You'll meet some great guys at that event. Welcome to the club.

    Nice man. I did my four years and got out. Hopefully we'll get to fish together some day. you're the only other Marine I know that fishes for carp. I'm going to stop by Wacker Bait and Tackle before the event and I'll ask him for some advice.

    Hello,

    My name is Met and I'm from Niles, IL. I'm married and have two dogs. I served in the Marine Corps and deployed with my unit 2/5 to Musa Qala, Afghanistan in 2012, and I EAS in July 2014. I'm currently going to school and working as a construction manager.

    I've been fishing for carp for about one year and I'm really enjoying it. I enjoy catching carp of all sizes. I fish for carp around the Chicago harbors and river, and Fox river. I never fished for carp during the winter months but I want to try it this year. I also enjoy deer, upland and waterfowl hunting. I joined CAG to expand my knowlege of carp fishing tactics but mostly to meet like minded carp anglers that might want to spend some bank time together. I signed up for "welcome back" tournament on August 29th, this will be my first tournament. I'm looking foward to meeting everyone.
