Hey skeet. I've been messaging back and forth with Barry over the last week. I'm not sure if I'll make it to the fish-in but I'm sure I'll run into you guys real soon.

Thanks Bob. Slower today with just 3 fish. One at 15.5lbs and another at 16lbs. No complaints as everyone around us caught nothing (fishing for bass). The complete change of tactics yesterday seems to be working. Between the two days we've had several takes but they managed to eject the bait before we could even pick up the rod. Making a few adjustments to my end tackle tonight to hopefully put and end to that.

Hello folks. I used to be a member here about 6-7 years ago and in my long absence can't remember my old user name so I created a new one.

Here's a pic from this afternoons haul. We landed 4 fish (no scale so weight isn't included or important). My brother is visiting from Scotland and as the guy who got me into fishing (pike) I wanted to give him his first carp experience.

I also brought my 13 along who was too young back when we used to go to catch anything other than brim. Both of them got into their first carp and I think have caught the instant addition.

We had several other runs but I lost them trying to teach the little guy how to either set the hook or keep the fish in constant pressure because of the barbless hooks.

Anyway. I just wanted to introduce myself and share a fantastic day.

P.s I've been blanking for the last 6 weeks so this was a huge turn around today.
