Grass carp on the fly in Carp on the Fly Posted August 28, 2015 My favorite fly is a beetle pattern, but that works best in the summer. I've also taken them on nymphs. The key that I've found is you can't give them time to think about eating it - it needs to be right in front of their face and get there fast.
