  1. Thanks guys. I've just purchased my CAG membership and will explore the CAG members section in more detail later today.

Quick question - should I be concerned about Gators on lake fork if I'm camping on the bank for 5 nights? I leave Wednesday afternoon and plan to do a long session in a remote spot I've picked out. Any pointers to ensure my safety would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Jerome - Big Buff on my radar for sure!!

  2. Hello fellow Carp enthusiasts!

I'm new to the Dallas area but not to Carp fishing. I'm not looking to take short cuts and steal peoples spots as I'm all about putting in the time-on-water to find honey my own holes, but I am looking for some advise on what lakes to fish in and around North TX, OK, AK, and basically anywhere that is within a 1-7 hour drive from Dallas. Ideally, I'm looking for lakes that house big old Chunks (trophies) that will tear my arm off when playing and will work my biceps when posing for pics!

I'm deadly serious and passionate about this sport - I've just purchased 3x SK3's and 3x SK4's, and every other bit tackle, equipment, luggage and bait that will allow to camp out for weeks at a time. I'll be forever in your debt if you can help me feed my addiction and get on fish. Thank you.

P.S. I'm not a fan of heavy foot traffic when I fish - I'd prefer to be in the middle of know where, of the beaten track.

P.S. P.S. I'd like to take this opportunity to plug Big Carp Tackle in OK for their easy to use online store, broad variety of stock, and there speedy delivery of orders.

    Thanks,

    Daniel "Chunk Hunter" Nash
