For those interested and that can get up there....I'll be at the Peg Draw area at 1 PM friday. Then going to go take a look at all the areas and do some plumbing with just leads to get an idea what's going to hold in each area and see what the depth is like. Figured I'd then head to Buffalo Wild Wings for a bit of supper around 6 pm and see who's all there.
Will be there as and when Rick can get away, will let you know nearer the time.

The first year the river was running a little fast, but the local had it in hand, they used the logs coming down river as floats?
-
Nik, that is because the price difference per night was $85...
But, i agree that there are better options than where we stayed last year.
Hi Andy
Have you got a address or Zip Code so I can then check accommodation in the area, also where most of you meet-up on Friday evening. Haven't got a clue where RiverRick, Goosehunter and I stayed the first year but I wouldn't say it was rough but Gary slept all night on a chair that leaned back on the door? They even asked if we had guns, Rick and Gary were carrying concealed but that I did not have one, so they gave me one!

Bob, I've signed up, get in the week before. Intend to drive up Friday afternoon, return ? Tba. If you hear of anyone traveling up from the Cincinnati / Dayton area and looking to share then drop me a line. Also let me know what the plan is for sleeping once there.

Sounds like a plan coming together, won't be over by then but enjoy?

Sad to see anyone leave, let's hope the group sort themselves out and return as strong as Ohio have after their change. Lets also hope you Enjoy your bankside time whoever and wherever that is & with?

What a tale, nice to the family involved and the youngster, if they enjoy fishing in those conditions they will be Carpers for life.
Happy New Year.

Agree with comments above but to help my old body and make the action of retrieving, filling and recasting the Spod as seamless.
I always stand my Spod bucket on top of another bucket. This brings the top of the Spod mix level to just above my crotch, I'm 6'.
As I retrieve to where the empty Spod is about 12' out I lift my rod and the Spod will swing-in at bucket level, catch Spod with left-hand, if rod is in right-hand and scoop next Spod mix in. With practice you can Spod as long as you like with out getting back or knee ache and get twice as much out. Nether used the Spomb so this method may not be the best with it but great for particals and corn.
Hope this helps

He left as a child, returned a MAN. I know how proud you are of him and rightly so. He has joined an elite team of men, be they serving on the ground, air or sea.
They look after us when we need them and we need to look after them when they need us.
God Bless Them All.

Keith...understanding there are variances....what kind of distance bankside to opposite bank?
Sorry for not responding, just notice your post Bob. I took a few pictures when we were there, will try to dig them out and post.
The area we fished had a good bank for Bivving but the flow at that time was awesome. There was heave rain prior to the weekend and most lakes and smaller rivers had flooded. The flow would see a tree go by 30 yards out then the same tree would return coming back on its self about 15 yards out.

Scott, I have already, in another thread, said that I will be going regardless, if i do make team and a fully fledge Ohioan is in the reserves I will give up my place but still Bivvy up and become a runner for our boys or others.
