(This post is copy-pasted from the TFF for convenience sake. As such, it includes some species other than carp/buffalo. If necessary, I will delete those for future posts or post under the other species forum.) Hi, My son and I are looking for some good Spring Carping spots. We have some family in Buffalo but have never fished there. I'm just wondering if someone can give me some ideas where we may set up for a day session in the Buffalo area. I've checked out the shore fishing locations on the DEC website and many look promising but I'd rather get some first hand info if anyone can help. Thanks much!

Does anybody have any tips for catching buffalo on Lake Wylie? I live about 30 minutes from the lake and I fish it for carp all the time. I've caught commons, grass carp, and even a couple mirrors but I have never caught a buff. Does anybody have any tips for buff fishing on Wylie? Location, Bait up technique, bait and rig used? Thanks!
