  1. Was a heck of a catch for me. Also have a slow motion tail slap from a grassy in the video.
  2. I first caught this bright orange koi sometime in 2012 (???) - there should be a thread out here somewhere.......... It weighed in at 10lbs. I just recaptured it Sunday night (same body of water) and it weighed in at just over 12lbs......... It fell to a WCB crayfish boilie - 20mm, in tandem with a Galliker's Pumpkin Pie milk / oatmeal pack.
  3. I have been scouting these miracle fish since the summer. Today I grabbed my 9# and my 6# respectively with a Chartreuse Clouser Minnow (in hopes for pike and walleyes) shown in the video below and an egg sucking leech just in case the Carp would cooperate. I managed to get him to cruise a foot off course to just bump my fly, but a commoner even slurped and spit it out... I really wish I'd get a chance to bring one to hand one of these days... A Koi since I've had my share of Carp on the Fly
  4. I haven't posted in a bit so i thought i would share a few recent fish from a couple different sessions. First i will post up pictures of a few koi and goldfish that brendan and i have had! Brendan picked up a few koi that we have been targeting for a year now, someone finally caught them lol! Usually the commons in here are the only fish that want to feed. Koi brendan named Farcus The one we named Monsanto Beautiful fantail goldfish! Here are a few decent commons from a couple recent sessions, with a couple buffalo thrown in! 27lb+ 22lb+ 21lb+ Buffalo We are both very much so lookin
  5. Went out and had a blast today. Only caught one fish but it was definitely worth it. For those without facebook here are the pics. She went 23.3lbs on my Reuben. Caught on one piece of WCB 4 seasons maize with 4 seasons panko.
  6. Just about 10lbs - NW, PA Public Water tiger nut/boilie combo sorry for the Word doc, but i don't know how to load photos on here anymore.......... koi.docx
  7. Mike and I went to scout out a local swim that we heard about from a local angler. The result was a koi wonderland! Check out all the pics and the complete story on our blog at, AustinCarpAngler.com You can also check us out on Facebook, be sure to click the like button to show your support!
  8. A few years ago, I found this fishing spot that grew on me in that I have had the most success, and know the most about this particular spot. After baiting several spots of the waterbody and undergoing some classic "trial and error" fishing, I started favoring this spot. Just last year, in the autumn months, I dedicated all my fishing endeavors to this particular spot. One of the beauties of carp fishing is when you can see the shadows of the fish swimming across the waterbody in packs. Of course, here in the states, most anglers will come up to and say something like, "Boy, those are some eno
