  1. As some of you know brendan and me went camping on the muskegon river for a couple days hoping to catch some decent fish and found some. The first day monday i got a couple hours to fish only and after scouting out the hole area i was feeling a little like we might not do to well considering the boat channel had a couple carp in it and in front of our tent was to weedy and the deep rocky spot we saw no activity. I ended up trying the boat channel because i saw some activity and i only caught one at around 13lbs and brendan didnt catch on the main river in sunny acres. The next day i fished sunny acres hoping to catch more or bigger carp and i wasnt catching all the way up to 1:00 PM then i figured out the spot and changed tactics completly then caught a 22lb for my first one off the main river. I totaled 9 that day with 4 of them over 20lbs and going all the way up to 26lbs 8oz. As usual brendan hooked one but it was a hog at 29lbs 8oz. The next day on wednsday i totaled 16 carp and only catching mostly small ones under 16lb then for my last one of the day i caught a 23lb 4oz. Brendan ended up being the one to catch the big one of the day with him totaling 9 fish with 2 over 20lb weighing up to 24lb 13oz. The last day we could only fish about an hour and a half and i caught one around 12lb then brendan got one close to 20lb we did not have the scale on us. so i totaled 27 fish with my biggest at 26lb 8 oz and brendan got 10 biggest at 29lb 8oz All in all being this was only our first time fishing this river and it producing some nice fish like this i dont think this will be the last time we will come here again and forgot to mention that the scenery was amazing. We had also devoloped many fans over the the couple days especially a camper across from where we were fishing who was telling everybody in the park about us and when we would walk any where with our equipment people would stop us and ask if we were the kids catching those giant fish. Here are the pics but be careful there is a very large amount of them! Boat Channel or bay 22lb 20lb 2oz Brendans hog at 29lb 8oz 22lb 10oz 26lb 8oz View from the tent Two pics of brendans 24lb 13oz 20lb 6oz 23lb 4oz
