  1. Has Anyone Fished Dale Hollow Lake?

I'm trying to plan a trip to Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee and was wondering if anyone here has fished for carp there. If so what did you experience and what time of year did you go. I'm trying to get some reference for the place so I can get an idea of what to expect. Anything would be appreciated.
  2. As you can see from my signature that I lack a grassie to make the quartet complete. Do we have them in Tennessee? Preferred baits?
  3. FFF in East Tennessee

I noticed that I am the only one registered for SE TN. I'm in a quandary about fishing alone, isolated from civilization, on New Year's Eve with all the partiers roaming around. If there is no one available to share the bank, I'm going to bow out of the FFF this year. If you can fish on Lake Chickamauga in Meigs County, let me know. I'll give directions to the spot and need to know by 4 PM tomorrow. Otherwise. I'll be spending the evening at my hacienda. Thanks and gobs of gold!
  4. Last Saturday, the Mrs. and I were at a birthday party for two of our grandkids in Chattanooga. The wildlife agency in TN had an article in their magazine about some fellows carping in Lake Chickamauga on Vincent Road. I found it on a map and we made a side trip. I have some questions. Have any CAGers fished this area? The only place that seemed to be open was a parking area on the upper end of the road. I was envious of those who either lived on the lake or had docks and boathouses on the water. There were a couple people fishing but didn't look like carpers. Your help is appreciated.
  5. I've been looking at the calendar and Saturday is open for fishing- no ball games or other activities! I would like to meet some of the forum folks who might be fishing this Saturday. I live in Cleveland, TN. For reference, Knoxville is a little over an hour away, Chattanooga is 30-40 minutes, depending where I end up. Many thanks. Also, what do I need to bring, other than the $500 initiation fee? I have some spinning gear, hooks, etc.
  6. Like To Go Fishing

OK, I'm ready! I would like to hook up with someone (no pun intended) and wet a line for some big fish. The weekdays are best as weekends are taken with grandson's baseball games and church. I would also like to take a detailed look at carpin' rods as I build custom rods and would like to see what they look like up close; also get some feedback from carpers. Also, I would like to catch carp on a fly rod but don't really know where to go. I live in Cleveland, TN and can be reached on this forum or through my website at www.hiwasseecustomrods.com (under construction and updating). Carpe diem- Latin- ten pound carp.
