suppose it's from the headlamp?
I can't really tell what you are talking about...
but I noticed that the background TAIL side of the fish is a sunset..
but it it BACK at the head side. I think this is from the headlamp you're wearing.
I was thinking the red light may have something to do with it myself, but the lack of reflected light on the film or any light, if you are talking the black void.

I missed this post the first time around, as I thought from the title it was a kids fish-in with 50 or more one year old kids,
But now that I have looked at the post I think I might qualify, if you guys will have me as I am 66 now.

Ken, Good going, At least you got the fish and your hook back, I just got my hook back.
I lost a fish to the weeds at lake storey one time, and the next morning Dave had a run and when he unhooked it he said to me here do you want your hook link back, it turned out to be a 24 pound fish that I lost the day before to a weak snap link, after that I went to a stronger snap link.

Hey I would do it all again in a heartbeat good company just like cake, but without the icing, Of course the icing being the fish. But the cake was the fine Bloomington folks who let me camp in their yard, fed me, fished with me. And my aunt and cousin who live in town came to vist with me while I fished,
Yes I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Hi, I'm looking for someone to show me the carp ropes and for a fishing buddy in the Iowa City, Cedar Rapids area. I love to fish for carp(unlike anyone I know), but have really only caught them by accident and would like to learn how to target them specificly. I have lots of free time and am willing to travel some.
I live in the IL. Quad city's and plan on fishing eastern Iowa this year I know of some 30 pounders in Iowa. You are more that welcome to join me if you like,If you can't find anyone closer to you, and there's always the Missisippi river.

I must say you don't resemble your avatar, and here all the time I thought that was you, and a bad day fishing beats a good day at work anytime.

[ Quote Rouster]
)......You know, when I started writing this I thought that I had something kind of profound to say about fishermen in general and humanity as a whole..
I think it's a need to share with others the thrill of the catch, especially if they didn't have others with them when they banked the fish.

Congratulations Bill
That's a real beast!
Did you have any idea it was in there before you fished? I mean does the lake have any history of 30+ fish?
Iain.
To answer your question yes we have seen 30+ taken in the past.

He told me today that it was around 22 acres.
New PB
It's 14 acres, one mile of shoreline, 28 ft. deep, divided by a footbridge.

macfish here. No Jim, not just real men; real men, women, kids and even cats! Guess Mickey still has some more work to do on you. Jonathan
Mickey's a male, But I guess what I really meant was that people that think for themselves are the ones that fish for carp. And don't let others dictate what kind of fish to go for just to be with the crowd so to speak.

In other words real men fish carp.

I do know they swim faster than you and me.

And what do you want to do start a carp training camp for speed swimming.
