What a loss, just got in to his Aquaborne brand, he was producing some good stuff, RIP fella......

and your problem is JD........? I would have expected the UK to win on home soil, but was merely pointing out the system used in the UK to select 'teams' is flawed. I'll try to keep it simple from now on as I understand irony is lost on most

There's a write up in CW this month on the WCC, we (Brits) on home soil and beaten in to fourth by the likes of SA and Greece.... in other European Countries they run heats with the finalists making it through to the WCC, in the UK it's a case of who you know and how much the sponsor will tip in to the prize bucket I'll let you draw your own conclusions from that......

Good to see you back in the saddle Kev

Nicely shot and produced young man! I think Andy should sign off on CAG funding a 3 month trip round the US for you. Go fish with some members on some of their waters and produce the first CAG DVD

Well done fellas, hard work starts now....

what a beast! big congrats, sounds like a well managed and professionally carried out operation. Best of all you stuck it out and were justly rewarded!

the shoulders on all those fish are amazing. Well done, man
Wow, I agree, they are some stunning looking fish, they look like the Royale Carp strain with those big shoulders, where in the US were they caught, they would certainly be worth travelling distances for

I've been lucky enough to spend 60 hours fishing this venue and caught many a good fish, not to mention a near fourty to be lost at the net. I love Milford, it's like a little piece on England, hidden away in the US, you guys are a lucky bunch

It's coming mucca! We learned a lot from this trip and have a much better idea of the types of pegs fish will come from next year, depending on this winter and sumer weather patterns.I don't envy Dave pegging this stretch, we struggled to find 20 pegs, let alone 150 that would produce. By the way, we were tying new rigs on day 3, after we got through the first 30!

You make great videos Kev

top mirra big fella, big congrats
-
Happy Birthday little fella!

having spent the best part of 3 months planning this trip and sorting bait, place to stay and meeting up with friends, i finally managed to tie some rigs and am looking forward to the 8 hour flight in to Toronto and the 6 hour drive to upper New York State
a mixture of blow back, kd and hinge rigs, will only last 2 days but will hopefully do the business!

mate, that's phenomonal, it's only 4oz off the british record Wels, big congrats
-
louis - great idea, get it organised, whilst there are hundreds of anglers going to the CAWC anyway, it makes perfect sense to hold it straight afterwards, not least because most of the marshalls wouls stay on a few days, as would I as I'm in the area and it would only mean extending the trip
-
no boats allowed, I think it's in the rules in case a boat is used to get to an island swim and therefore can be checked by a marshall for extra rods etc.
-
You boys certainly now how to do it 'proper' loved the famous MI Group Shot!
-
Sounds like a great trip mate, beats crab fishing off Blackpool beach!!
-
aaah phone you do make me smile! Although some of your comments are awry (british word that pron. r eye) you do try hard to put a balanced arguement together.

I dont know excatly what part of the Suskie you fish, here's one my buddy cought last year on the north branch above Meshoppen. So far this is the only one I've seen up here. Just a few week's ago I cought one with simarler scale pattern like you cought, I dident even notice it untel I seen the pix.
That's 100% mirror, the 'muddlers' as Scott has named them are an odd breed, we don't get them in Europe but imagine it's a common with a recessive gene. It would be intersting to hear what Louis or Matt have to say on this but the scatter scale pattern I'm sure has something to do with mirror carp breeding somewhere down the line.....?

Great respect to anyone that made it out, I took the dogs our for a walk on NYD around my local syndicate, around 7" of ice were freezing the carp in!
