  1. Chad, and all the volunteers who made the CCC possible this year. Thank you!

Mother Nature threw us a change up with flooding, but the work you put into making this event possible was extraordinary. It took a lot of time and thought to put it all together. Strong work.

Thanks to the folks at Dale’s Athletic Club for hosting the dinner/raffle. Being a new guy, I felt welcomed by everyone and enjoyed the visit. Looking forward to seeing you in the future.

  2. I’m still using Korda rigs that I buy from BCT, but wanting to try tying my own. Not looking for anything fancy and difficult to tie either. The areas I’m fishing are muddy, rocky rivers like Mississippi, Missouri, Meramec. Fair amount of muddy rocky bottoms.

Looking for ideas on line to use, thinking monofilament in 15 pound test like my main line test? Sometimes I use 20 pound mono as well.

Which hook and any types of bends/tubing necessary? I’m using maize and fake maize, along with 15-20mm boilies. Size 8 swivels I’m assuming to fit my method leads? Thanks for any suggestions.

  3. Beautiful mirror! I wish my shorelines were so nice and level! I’ve got great rivers around here but you have to be a billy goat to get down the banks covered in rocks and brush.

  4. Yeah, I watched that a couple of times actually a while back looking for pointers. I typically use a baiting technique with boiled bird seeds, hemp, maize, etc. My go to method bait has been Luke’s recipe of panko, corn and strawberry jello. I’ve caught a lot of carp in our local river with this, but I’m leary it’ll work on a river that gets a lot of fishing pressure. Down here we have three big rivers full of carp and they go for pretty much anything.

  5. I’m pretty new too, but quickly went to maize and fake corn. Sweet corn by itself did the same thing for me. I use boiled maize with a piece of fake corn or maize at the bait stop end. You can pull it in nice and tight and it’s probably tougher for the fish to strip it. But I’m newer and someone else might have better answers!!
