Yes, too bad that Big 4 was cancelled. But, I can understand the difficulties that fishermen face in many areas of the country.

Here in the northeast we are basically in a lock down.  Only travel by car to supermarkets and pharmacies. All state and local parks (where there are lots of lakes and rivers) are closed in RI. No travel out of state.

However, I am lucky enough to live walking distance to some pretty good carp waters that hold good numbers of beautiful mirrors. These places are woodsy spots with no one around which is good. So, my fishing continues, though very local and limited.

Below is a photo of a mirror that was coming to the net last evening.

Stay safe everyone and hope you can still get out fishing locally in your area.20200327_184832_2(1) (640x417).jpg

I just bought 50# at Tractor Supply yesterday, and the price was less than $10.  So yes, that's always a good option.  So is cracked corn -- about the same price.  I soak mine for about a day, then boil it slowly for 1/2 hour.  Not sure that the boiling is necessary.

I think boiling is necessary after soaking it.  The corn is still very hard compared to boiling it for 1/2 hour. I boil it till it starts to split or I can put my nail through it easily.

I've easily resisted Facebook so far myself.  Seeing my wife going through her Facebook, it takes her like forever every day.  It seems every time someone cooks a hamburger or scratches their butt, they have to take a picture and post it on Facebook .  (Well, of the hamburger anyway).

Lol thats the Facebook life.  I feel like I’m missing out on lots of fishing stuff though.  For now I’ll pass on it.
