Besides being a brilliant carp angler and writer Iain Sorrell is also a great photographer. This photo was taken while we were scouting out a local lake for

a fish-in and catching on the float rod.

I tried the Red Mill Inn for the 15th yesterday and the website showed that all rooms are blocked for 15th UNLESS you purchase for the 14th too. I plan to be enjoying the mudcakes in my hair and scratching my bug bites on the 14th as the tournament will still be going.

In effect, the thought of paying for a room in which I will be unable to enjoy leaves me wanting. Not to mention that the shower and bed would surely be calling my name in the wee hours.

To be clear, I completely understand the reasoning. They do it here in town twice a year for Bristol NASCAR.

You have to call the Red Mill Inn, they have a block of rooms reserved for the tournament for Wednesday & Saturday nights. Tell

them you are in the carp tournament and you should also get a 15% discount of the regular room rate. Another hotel in Baldwinsville

is already booked for Saturday night probably due to the Syracuse University graduation. For those planning on attending the

tournament I would advise calling for rooms now or you may be out of luck finding rooms localy if you wait.
