  1. It's pretty cool to see that I am not alone. I've been lucky over the years in regards to catching some nice fish, but having friends around to celebrate each other's catch is what it's all about for me. I get more excited then the guy or gal who just caught their PB or that special catch. Without discovering this group, I am not typing this or having this priviledge.

    Great post Tommy.

  2. I tried to convince him to move closer for a better shot (I am somewhat of a severe weather freak), but he would have no part of it!

It was actually quite far from us, but a first for me nonetheless!

  3. As the afternoon advanced some real big thunderheads were popping up around us, they looked like nuke mushroom clouds!

I asked Steve if he had ever encountered any waterspouts, his repy was "hell no!"

  4. The weather was hot and calm @95 degrees! I wish we had a a breeze, cause I was roasting. Good thing we brought a case of water on ice. Unfortunately the dolphin had lockjaw, but the barracudas were more than happy to take our offerings. Here's a picture of my biggest, I estimate it was @40 inches.

  5. We went out a couple of miles and anchored up to a reef just long enough to fill the live well with some ballyhoo, a favorite bait for most toothy critters that swim down there. Captain Steve did the rigging honors!

  6. We opted to take his larger boat out that day in case we decided to go out a few miles (which we did). After loading our gear, bait & refreshments it was off to find some fish. Fishing had been good for a few weeks but had slowed down, we were optimistic. Here is a shot of our craft, the "Other Woman II".

  7. Took a trip to FL to visit the parents while my son spent the week in Daytona at a leadership seminar. My brother in law recently moved to the keys to pusue a more simple life on the water. I decided to take a 2 hour drive to spend the day fishing for dolphin.

This first shot is a view from his front door...!

  8. Mike

Could you imagine trying to feed those swirling masses of fish tiger nuts...? The co$t would be staggering!!!!!!! You would need to be sponsored by a Mexican Drug Cartel and have an "in" with the Teamsters to get all that product to the river. Logistical nightmare.

I'm going to stick with Sweet Feed and Range Cubes.

    Who said anything about freebies...?

    Good luck lads.
