Interesting to hear...I am glad this is generating a lot of discussion -- perhaps a new topic: "Abnormal Catches" is in order...
Can the admin. move this thread?

Just for the record: my mirror was much prettier than Vinny's
No really, great report guys!
I would advise against kissing those fish Sarah! You don't know where they've been....

Steve -- Hello and welcome!
I don't think CAG is known there....
I know however of at least one carp angler from near-Montreal. He did not know of CAG till I told him. I also mentioned that he could start to get involved and spread the word across the border but he did not seem interested.
Perhaps you can do it?

Nice. Massive fish!
That looks like a small lake it came out of. How do they get so big there...hmmm....

Nice fish. Different shape than the Sarulesti (Raduta) strain but just as pretty.

You don't have to worry about sharing your Koi-some fishing spots with me Scotty...
While on the subject I remember really large koi in a pool over in Hawaii in the lobby of the Waikoloa Marriott....Darn...If I only had my rod with me back then....

Sorry If I sound like an ignorant guys but I thought the colorful Koi were for decorative purposes only -- they are not game fish to be caught but rather nice to feed with bread and look at.
Most commonly found in the ponds of rich people's houses...
Funny story nontheless...

Yep...I was in CT fishing without any luck in nasty rain and wind. I though boy we must be crazy....
Then we got back and checked the radar map...It showed a nasty circular spot just west of Boston indicating snow! Clear everywhere else...How strange...hmmm...
And one thing went through my mind...I thought I bet Jerome is out fishing in that...
Nice pics and a motivational story

Thanks for the nice story and pics Jerome.
Always documenting the events so well for all of us left behind...
I have a question: How were you guys able to fish with all those boats right in front of you? Were you fishing in a marina?
And how about the winning technique(s)? What worked and what didn't and how come so few fish were caught during the actual competition?
-Thanks for the info guys!

Gentlemen -- you are all correct. I just noticed the thread issue. Is it metric/us? What's the standard thread here and in Europe? If I take them to Europe will I be able to screw them onto Euro (outside UK) banksticks or will I be so to speak....screwed...?
Thanks for the info.

Just as good and cheaper are the basic BALZER alarms from PS Fishing.
$25 gets you watertight alarm + telescopic bank stick + 9V battery + Spare cover + Case.
At that price you don't mind stepping on one every once in a while.
