  1. THAT PLACE IS AMAZING I WOULD LOVE TO FISH THE UK LAKES...... BIGGER FISH AN MORE FUN WITH THE PEOPLE THAT CAN SHOW U SOME GOOD TRICKS OR TOO......

    LOVE THE VIDEO...

    CHAD CASH(PKONE)

This one is in France but fished by UK anglers on holiday so there is a better group feeling.

Sorry to blow away the myth but UK Carping can be a lonely buisiness a lot of the time & not many show you anything the fish are a lot scarcer than here so everyone keeps it all secret, the fish a lot lot harder too catch & a lot lot lot more expensive to fish for. Typically the total for me to fish in France for a week would be in excess of $2000 (canadian at todays exchange rates) not including the tackle I would already own & take out there which was probably 3 times the cost of the trip.

But yes the video is good

  2. Hi all

I have just had a link for a video sent to me of my old summer vacation haunt Dreamlakes in France. Thought I would post it just for anyone interested in what the fishing is like there.

    Dreamlakes Video

All 3 of my PB Carp & catfish have come from there & I have always enjoyed every visit though it isnt everyones cup of tea. It is very commercial in the set meal arrangements & the beer can flow a little too freely sometimes but me & my old pals had a blast there. It may be hard for anyone from North America to fish there as they dont hire much out but there are some other fisheries that hire full tackle out.

  3. Well thought I'd put up a hi to all now I have finally joined

I an English carper who has been in Canada for 1 year 3 months originally from West London then High Wycombe bucks spent the last 10 years in England in sunny Worthing.

I have fished many UK waters my pb is 42lb Mirror & 39lb 14oz Common.

Since moving to Ontario I have had the pleasure to meet & fish with a few of the Hamilton/Toronto based Cag guys last spring I had the bonus of discovering my local river (200 metres from my house) stufffed to the gills with large Carp & proceded to fill my boots largest common came out at 30lb 2oz also had a 23lb mirror with hundreds more 20s caught over a month. I really lost count on the second day of fishing it just praying that the recent fish kill hasnt done too much damage.

  4. Shaun Rickard did a few shows on Carp fishing he gave me the pilot DVD when we fished a few years back. Nice video good to see something on WFN though they do also show UK fish a mania matches which predominately catch carp. The Carp show that was aired in the UK with Rob Hughes had episodes filmed on the US side of the St lawrence & lake ontario

  5. In europe they use poles that are much longer than ordinary fishing rods, around 13 & up to 16 meters long in fact, with strong elastic attatched which acts as the shock absorber they can be extremely expensive hence probably why he went in after it.

The carp ones are amazing to watch being used ive seen carp to 30lb landed on them, the stretch in the elastic is unbelievable & until i saw it wouldnt have believed it was possible.

  6. Thanks guys pictures are a bit wonky cos i was on my own so had to use timer on camera.

Found this spot on my own (I,m from the uk) so doubly pleased that I found them had a 22lb fish within 10 mins of setting up.

It was on the river/canal section below a lock & weir

If only there were just one spot like that in the whole of the uk
