  1. Yeah, but, every pleasure you had next to them, we took away being on the other side of them.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was trying to be nice but anyway thanks for posting that for me!!! :D

I guess I could say that it was a please fishing near the Osmonds. Sort of like taking a trip with the Griswalds to Europe :D

  2. Great talking with you guys at Emma. Also very interesting to see the different rigs you guys were trying. To bad the buffs at Emma did not want to bite. It was amazing how many big buffs we saw crashing in front of us. It show how tough those fish are to catch.

  3. I have to say, they truly are a couple of very great people. I had the pleasure of fishing (Blanking) next to them on day 1. It was great talking with you guys and I hope the trip home was safe.

  4. Karl,

I had a blast at Emma. Just wish I could have stayed another night with you guys and threw down a few brews. It was great to talk with you and see your wife pull in a nice fish. Yes, she did all of the work on that fish.

  5. I agree with Keith. There are definately other places on Lake Austin to fish besides Emma that can hold a few teams so we do not have to worry about having a steward for weighing fish. No one has mentioned up stream from Emma. That lake has a lot of potential. I truly hope that this will happen for next year. I know I have only attended the last two events but as some have mentioned I have spent 3 of my 4 days in front of the Holiday Inn. Not a lot of hope at that time of year. Don't get me wrong, if the channel on the other side could be baited I think that fish would come from some of those swims. Most of the time hook baits cast to the channel will not get it done. I know I had 2 rods and Wayne Boone had 3 rods in the channel and either of us did not have a bite from there. I still think the event is the best out there and it can be better for years to come. Great discussion and lets see what can be done.

  6. I have to agree with Keith and Scott. We should take a serious look at splitting the pegs between both lakes. There is plenty of room on Lake Austin without using the camp sites. Fished there the past couple of days with a nice crew of carpers and caught 5 decent fish today with the smallest being 23 pounds. I also have to say that this event is awesome and has been run very professionaly.

  7. My only suggestion would be to start the draw earlier. By the time the teams pull for the right to pull for the peg draw and then draw the peg and get to the swim a lot of time is wasted. If we drew sooner it would enable at least a little chumming prior to the start of the event.

    Just a thought.

  8. I agree with you Neil. I stay in hotels about 60 nights a year. I also spend a lot of time in Austin hotels paying somewhere around 120.00 a night on the average. You worked out a great deal at a nice hotel. I can not wait for the event. I already booked a suite but still have to sign up for the event.

  9. UNTOUCHABLES - DO NOT FORGET THIS NAME.

WE WILL PLACE IN THE TOP 3!! Any takers for a top 3 finish?

    SSF,

I was sleeping when you caught all those fish. Are you sure that you will catch as well as you think? Time will tell but I can not wait to see. I am afraid to say that your bubble will burst. By the way, very nice method launcher. I was impressed.
