    Dreadful grammer and spelling on that last message last night. Must have been half asleep. If anyone was able to make any sense of that previous message I would be very interested in finding out how you join the local Carp meets for New Jersey etc. I have been looking into the Raitan river etc along with various lakes in and around my area Hoboken and Morristown. Any local knowledge would be a great help and much appreciated. Thks in advance.

    I think boats and jet skies may be a slight problem this time of the year...

    Must admit i didnt think about that ,could always do a half day fish in :-)

    With the weather being so hot i dont think DoD would fish well especially if the sun is up with no cloud cover .

    May be we have to give this one a miss unless there are a few die hards for donaldson park on saturday ??

    Or does anyone fancy DoD saturday night ??

    Just want to remind the NJ crew that we have our July fish in coming up next month on July 16th , At the moment we have not picked a venue for this fish in , so we would like suggestions for the fish in venue for this date .Please feel free to add your thoughts and suggestions

    Nj June 4Th Fish In @ Dod Ponds

    Great weather but the 2am storm put an end to night fishing down there, only myself , john and Kim fished ,Laurence couldn't make it john n Kim both had 5 carp each early on but once the sun got up the carp stopped feeding .

    I didn't get down and set up until 11 ,I'd planned on over nighting but the fish stopped feeding by the time I got the rods in.

    Thanks to world classic baits for the free samples of POP UPS that I handed out.I will post a couple of pics later in the week.

    Thanks to everyone that came along , it was great to meet a few new faces and to see all of the regulars at NJ 's fish ins .As always a great venue although for the 2nd time the carp have eluded me B)

    Looking forward to next months fish in at Dod , this one will be an over night session for sure .. make sure you pack your bivvies :)

    If any one has venues to suggest for our empty spots please feel free to put them forward otherwise we will just mix up Dod and the raritan to fill those spots .

    With trying to get a permit to over night fish the first hurdle was a certificate of insurance , to get this I would need a firm head count on how many would be attending , I would need the insurance certificate before they will consider the application . I will have a chat with everyone down there next week and try and get a head count.

    And try and get this set up for a later date.

    On the pre baiting front I will be down there on the Friday around 530 to get some bait in.Laurence will be swinging by aswell.

    Just as a side note it is illegal to use a slingshot in the park :-)

    Really looking forward to this to kick start the Nj fish in year.

    Looking forward to this one as its been a long winter for sure , I will be looking to get some pre baiting done in the week or so leading up to this .

    Ok guys here's the dates for the NJ fish it's for 2011

    May 7 th Raritan river at donaldson park

    June 4 th DOD ponds

    July 2 nd or July 16th

    Sept 17 th DoD ponds

    October 15th

    November 5 th

    As per Miguel s suggestion I will look into applying for a permit to over night fish the donaldson park , I will keep you posted on how that works out. Also feel free to suggest venues that can host 10-15 anglers .

    I must apologise to all the Nj crew for the late 2011 schedule for fish ins, due to being over worked :-) , I will be meeting with Laurence this weekend and will post up the days tomorrow night.there will be dates posted without venues please feel free to suggest venues for these dates.

    I would be up for the DOD lake again - gonna take the 4x4 if it does happen :) .

    Sounds good Tommy , i will make sure that i dont get boxed in this time so i can drive round and have a chat . Dates for fish ins will be posted up next weekend .Any suggestions for places to fish please feel free to post up or PM me or Laurence .

    Would be cool to go back to the Raritan like last year, but with a twist ;)

    The local Park Rangers were awesome and we had a blast talking to them during the day, they also suggested that probably we could get a permit from the higher ranks to overnight there

    (park is controlled by them not the city ;) ) we could try that and do a Friday after work till Sunday pm, early spring or late fall would be nice, lot less people and better fishing ;)

    Sounds good to me , I will look into it and see what they say. Will definitely add that river for at least one fish in this year like you say though we will make sure its s earlier event to avoid to many people.thanks for the heads up miguel.

    Myself and Laurence will be getting together in the next couple of weeks to work out the NJ fish in dates for 2011 , if there are any waters that you would like one of these to be held on please feel free to post up or PM myself or Laurence . Ideally the lake/river would be able to host 10-20 anglers .

    Agreed Beautiful fat fish!! Was that out of Lake Ontario??

    Damp that's is nice rudd , used to love catching those in Ireland great fishing when you have a big shoal of 1lb + of them in front of you.well done mate
