I have seen that before. You have to think hardly anybody knows what a weight sling is. You cant blame people for not using them. At least there throwing them back.

Yeah but how many brain cells does it take to realise that hanging up a fish by its gill plate is not a good thing??common sense and a little respect for the fish should tell you that its not a good method.

Scale hook in the gill plate, when weighing the fish might do that! (especially on a larger fish). Seen many fishers do it.

Yeah that looks about right ,if you aint got a weigh sling then a large plastic bag will do.Shame when people are not educated in caring for there catch.At least the fish has recovered.
