I really think it's about good communication between anglers (and lots of picture sharing). I'm sure for example that you guys have caught fish that Flip and Wayne caught years ago, you just don't have the photos to match them up.
Here's one that STILL hasn't been recaught....
Even if not the same fish, they must be very close relatives LOL
And Alex's mirror, I haven't seen even a fish from the same strain around. Absolutely stunning.

You buy yourself a separate fridge dedicated only to carping.

Heres a link, not much info.
Thanks Rob,
Here's a most recent one. I just ddn't want to post a pic of a dead fish in the beginning. It says the fish was netted. But I wonder what it may bite on

Erol,
Funny, same fish about 50 minutes later, same bait (bread), heavy, but little fight...
They may not be as smart as we once though.
This is a fish I wish I could find again.
Scott, we shouldn't forget that not all humans are geniuses, either

A nice one there Scott, but did it fall to the same bait the second time?

I look forward to seeing the common carp of 100 pounds and 6 feet long dwarfing piddly 50 pounders
Well folks, check this out, this photo is from International Carper's February 2006 issue. In the article it says that the monster was caught in the late 70s in Spain, the estimated weight is over 35kg (77lbs +)
Any guesses?
