Well, altough the weather conditions were severe, i decided to give my luck a try today. No carp at all, but half an hour after casting my first rod, i had a take which i was sure was not a carp but certainly something huge. After around 20 minutes battle, the beast turned out to be this kitty.

It was 35'' long but due to the fact that my scale was broken i couldn't weight it. Any guesses?

And is this a channel cat, from what i saw before from other pics, it looks like a blue cat, though.

As I recall, I read in a bosnian website, too that this carp was 41kg, and was found dead tangled in a net in a bosnian lake, and after this was heard, a lot of carp anglers from over the world paid a visit to the lake in hope of catching a new world record but no one could succeed. Also, even if it was not over 90lbs, it still looks like at least 70 pounder.

Hi,

This weekend went carping for a 4-hour session to my most favourite local venue. Caught several carp, but at one time, my No.1 catching rod has been quite for a while so decided to reel it in. First i felt something at the end of the rod, thought it was a small carp but it turned out to be a largemouth bass (I guess), it fell to a pineaplle boilie fished on a method. HAs anyone else seen or heard something like this?

Occasionally I see bass fishermen in the area and most of the times they leave w/o even a single bite..
