  1. That's a shame, and a good reminder to be safe, water can be very dangerous.

Has to be tough on his family.

I agree, very sad. It must be horrible for his kid and familly. Use a life jacket, just clip it to your tackle bag or wear it. Always usefull to have around should you feel the need to go in the water.

  2. Thanks Guys! Yep my kids are priceless and I spend A LOT of time with them. My wife and I have recently separated but I spend just as much time with the kids as before.

Pat, I did see a 7lb rainbow come out but nothing like a 20 which is quite common from this lake. So much so that one of the guides guarantees you will get at least 1 in a 3 day trip or they will book you another trip for free.

  3. River fish are nomadic so you can find them pretty much all throughout a river but to home in a bit more try

walking the river and look for signs of carp. There are tons of tips on here on what to look for. Rolloing finning jumping clouding the water etc... Then bait the areas and fish them. Over time you will find some spots better than others. You may get skunked one day and you may catch a ton another day. If you don't see any fish just try baiting the margins around the "G" bay and the main river running over the top of it. Like I said though, you should find them all throughout, at least in my experience. Pat has a lot of experience with tidal rivers.

  4. macfish here. Rick, nice fish and good pic of the mooses (meeses?) as well. There's a gent behind you in the fish pic. Was he fishing with you or just hapened to be there at the same time? Jonathan

There were 3 more of us there the guy in the background is the son of the local tackle store owner.
