    Thanks everybody!

    Maybe we need to try more rubber or latex pick ups in this swimwith the warming oil on them?

    With fish like these in the swim I dont care what they do in the parking lot as long as they dont try to pick me up.....lol

    Scott I would love to see what a fisherman like you could pull out of this place.

    Well after 2 years of Matt (Carpin79) trying to get me to fish West Virginia I finally did last weekend for the first time.

    Matt had been baiting for two weeks before the date we would fish this new venue he had found us. I was not really sure if I wanted to fish this place, I had heard not so nice tales about it.............Its kind of a funny hang out and not the ha ha type if you know what i mean......lol

    It was Oct 7th time to fish the first time that friday afternoon we fished 4 hours and caught 3 fish up to 21.9.

    The next morning we showed up at 6am to try our luck again we fished till around 9:30 pm again we caught 3 fish the biggest was a 30.0 by nowwe had 6 fish banked from this new venue smallest was a 14.8 up to 30.0. I had a permit good for one more day so I travled back alone on Sunday morning to just have one run and no fish in 5hrs.

    This place had me really excited so I told Matt I wanted to fish again the next weekend. So he baited all week again and since we couldn't fish friday afternoon, we would be there at 6:30 Saturday morning Oct. 15th.

    I was there a little before Matt I had my rods set and he pulled in and we had talked about the times we had caught last weekend......from 9am till around 11:30 the fish seem to bite better here then they move I guess till around 5pm.

    It was around 9am and my right hand rod had a steady slow beep I picked the rod up set the drag and waited for the rod to load...........nothing! I told Matt at least they was still in the swim. I had enough time to rebait that rod and my center rod started beeping with a pick up then a drop back pick up drop back it seemed like 5 min. of this then the rod went screaming off.

    This fish didn't fight much at all at first but when it hit the weed bed it was on. Matt and I saw the fish at the same time we looked at each other and said damn what a fish. I knew it was big but was not sure just how big till it was in the net it took us both to carry it to the unhooking mat.

    I zeroed out the scales and hung this fatty up......it was a 33.9# common.

    I guess there is a few big fish in West Virginia.

    I will not post the name of this lake because of the bow fisherman.

    Thanks again Matt for inviting me to fish with you in West Virginia. Want to try again next weekend??????????

    Glenwood park in West Virginia. It's full of common and grass carp usually on a good day you can bank 20-25 fish 10 - 30lbs.

    I figured with no license needed and the amount of fish here it would be a great place to have the kids.

    We had 13 kids show up for the day.

    10 carp was caught 19.15 was the biggest caught by 8 yr old Emily. A net full of catfish babies, 1 turtle and 1 duck. I caught the duck!! No hooks was in her she was just wraped in line.
