  1. Wow, It really looks like everyone had a great time!! Jim and the rest of the Indiana Hoosiers really know how to do it right!!!

Wish the situation with friends and family up here would have been different, would have really liked to have been there......

By the Way! Who got the Mystery Bucket?!

Amos Behanna, It looked very nice.

  2. The Next day we had 22 CCC anglers meet at a location for a free Post CCC Tournament. This location usually yields high numbers of small fish, however that was not the case again. It was a wet morning, but that did not keep guys from coming out. We did a little cooking out and had a great time. It was a nice way to end a great weekend. When it was over Phil Davies once again came out on top with the tournament's only two fish. He claimed the Trophy and $100 in cash courtesy of Westside Bait.

  3. The following morning we had a beautiful early Fall morning. The high was expected to be around 82 degrees. The wasn't a lot of wind early, however it did pick up a little throughout the day. I have probably hosted 30 tournaments on the White River and have never had as slow of bite as what we had. We had 61 anglers in all, spread throughout the entire venue. Unbelievably we only had 7 fish caught. We have had tournaments of similar size yield well over 150 fish, but that was not the case this time.

Phil Davies had two fish a 12-8 and a 7-13 for 20-5 total: CAG North American Champ, Wacker Bait Total Wt. Champ, Cag Carp King, $700 side Pot Cash, and 3 Prize Packs.

Frank Rink had two fish a 9-11 and a 3-14 for 13-9 total: CAG NAC Runner Up, CAG Carp King Runner Up, Section Winner, $150 side Pot Cash, and Prize Pack

Walter Wheeler had one fish at 6-7: Section Runner Up , $100 Side Pot Cash

Larry Kinsler had one fish at 5-7: Section Winner $50 Side Pot Cash, and Prize Pack

Tom Montez had on at 5-6: Section Winner, Prize Pack

Ken Keaton had one at 5-6 Westside Bait First Fish Award, Section Runner Up, and Prize Pack

Daniel Slaby had the Big Sucker at 3-14 for the BFS Big Freaking Sucker Award and Prize Pack

    3 Person Team Competition:

1st Place:"Ohio Carp Crew" Phil Davies, Rick Cox, and Rob Shiflet Trophy and $20 each

2nd Place: "Team Illiana" Frank Rink, Jim Rink, and Cory Bohmann Trophy and $10 each

3rd Place: Team Ohio: Phil Davenport, Larry Kinsler, and Bob Bernowsli Trophy and $5 each

Here are a few photos and I have some more to add later:

  5. I want to start by thanking everyone who made it over to Indy for the 20th CCC. I would like to thank CAG for the opportunity to host. I want to thank everyone who helped make it possible. I especially want to thank Rick Slinker, Denise Hall, James Sanders, Derek Wunder, Amos and Paige Behanna, Tony Lett, Bruce Tomlin, and everyone else who helped put this together. I want to once again Thank all of our sponsors who so generously donated to the CCC. Rick Slinker did an excellent job of putting all the sponsorship together. I know I missed many more who helped, for that I apologize.

I would also like to Thank Dan Ramir for representing CAG and doing a great job on the meeting.

Our Goal was to make this a Weekend event, not just a one day tournament. We headed down to Hubbar's lake on the South Side of Indianapolis on Friday for a 5 hour tournament. We had 27 CCC / CAG anglers show up. We caught nearly 30 fish and had a real nice time just meeting new people and seeing old friends. The Young guys showed us how it's done by taking home all the cash and the top three trophies. Here a re a few photos from the CCC Pre Tournament.

  6. Even though I didn't fish either day, Friday and Saturday were the most enjoyable fishing events I have ever attended.

As Frank said the whole committee did a great job, you guys/gals are the best!!

    Larry.

Thank You Larry, I really appreciate all the work you did. It was a big help.
  7. Here are a quick look at some of the results: We will have results tomorrow with some photos.

We had 27 CAG members show up for the Pre tournament at Hubbards lake. They all participated the side pots. The young guns showed us how to do it. There were 30 fish caught in all.

Alex Church age 15 won total Weight with 55 lbs $200 and Trophy.

JT Phillips age 15 won 2nd place total Weight with 47 lbs. $100 and Trophy

Alex and JT tied on Big Fish with a 19-12 but alex won the trophy and Prize money because he got his first. $100

We all came back to the sportsman's Hall for a little get together and music.

The Tournament was tough on us with 8 fish caught in all.

Phil Davies of Ohio was Crowned North American Champ with just over 20 lbs. total weight.

He also won the CAG Carp King with a 12-8 common

Phil also won the Wacker Bait overall champ.

His combined prize packs were valued at over $1500

Phil also won over $700 in side pot cash also.

Section winners were Frank Rink, Tom Montez, and Larry Kinsler.

    More results later

  8. Once again I want to thank all of our generous sponsors for all of their donations. I've been looking at some of the gifts that have been coming in and I am blown away by their generosity. Thanks again, and I hope we do our job of promoting you for your sponsorship.

  9. We Got down on the river and took a few chainsaws and reworked the pegs. They don't look bad. We have 77 pegs marked. I want to thank Derek Wunder, James Sanders, Rick Slinker, Denice Hall and Bruce Tomlin for spending their Sunday Morning on the river helping out.

  10. Here is a look at the Peg Map. The Venue is divided into 4 sections with 18-20 pegs in each section. The Peg Numbers have been stenciled on the sidewalk.

The first number is the Section Number and the second number is the peg number in that section,

    For example:

    3-16

    Section 3 and Peg 16.

  11. I will be bringing my young son with me where would the nearest restroom be?

Ther will be 3 portable Outhouses located on the bank. There will be an outhouse above the hill centrally located. and the Baitshop will have a restroom.

Being a CAG event, there are no treble hooks allowed. One hook per rod. No multi-hook rigs.

I posted a set of rules that should answer a lot of your questions on this forum.

  12. Rod holders are fine, yes on the license, I would go a bit heavier on the line though. That just what I would do,(a novice myself).

Good Advice Larry. Although I don't buy the novice thing. Also, I had your name engraved on the Trophy today.

  14. I have a couple of related questions...

I see there is no chumming before the start of the tournament; can we plumb our pegs before the start so that we know where we want to cast at the start? Can we set a marker float?

    Thanks!

No Problem on the marker floats or plumbing . Thanks for asking. Good question.
  15. I would like to serve as the Tournament Official for the CCC. I feel that I have the experience to run a fair and honest tournament. I feel that I can make an unbiased ruling if any situation arises. I will utilize the 4 weigh stewards to help settle an issue if necessary. If anyone else would be interested in the position please post here. If not I will be honored to do so.
