  1. Well, it looks like I missed last week's show. However, I didn't ever see anything in the TV guide in the paper about IF. I went to the Fox Sports website and didn't get anything about fishing. The IF site didn't have doodly squat about their TV shows or scheduling. :yourock: Guess I'll get the video camera out and make my own TV show! That'll fix 'em!

This InFisherman show was on the local abc station early Sunday morning(5:30am WATE in Knoxville). The online listing for Comcast cable for February 7th indicates that InFisherman will be on at 6:00am on the Chattanooga abc station(WTVC) and at 5:30am on the Knoxville abc station(WATE). Take your video camera when you fish with Brian :P

    Spoon,

HA,Ha,ha, - Well, banksticks and hair rigs are the only "worthwhile" Euro equipment there is. It must have been some sort of subversion they used boilies rather than a good old doughball, puff/pop or nightcrawler. I didn't get to see it. Did they use or mention "packbait" or "method balls" or any sort of prebaiting?

    Phone

The segment was only about 6 minutes long, so some things were not mentioned. They had a bucket half full of corn which they had probably chummed with. Doug Stange mentioned that his favorite boilie was Tutti Frutti flavored :o

  2. Got to see the "Drag Smoking Carp" episode early this morning. They caught several 20+lb carp and the only euro equipment used was banksticks, the hair rig, and boilies. It was an exciting segment with close-ups of the reel as the carp pulled drag. I hope I catch the other episodes too.

  3. Spoon, Sweetwater Creek? Sweetwater, Tennessee? We have a creek running through town with a new greenway along a couple of miles of it. Never seen any carp.

Yes, Sweetwater Creek runs through Sweetwater, TN. There are ducks in the creek and people feed the ducks bread. A few carp hang out in some deeper holes and can be hard to spot. If your greenway has any ducks there might be some carp also, you just have to look a little harder. However, creeks that drain into Watts Bar Lake are going to have more carp than your home lake trust me  Hope we can meet sometime, I would love to find a good bread fly. Do you sell any?

  4. John you should check out these sites(some are in Tennessee):

Some of the flyfishing guides on the Tellico river take people on carp trips. If I find their site I will post it later.

I have tried some carp flyfishing on Sweetwater Creek. Small warm water creeks through city parks should provide a decent chance at hooking your first flyrod carp. Last year the above normal rainfall kept the creeks too fast and muddy for me.

  5. Also I think it might be a good Idea to Have to post all pictures of all carp caught for the Emperor award on the anglers report" not just a few .

Zoomie has pics of all his catches, but I think he is saving them to go along with the FFF story he is writing for the NACA. Maybe blame Jerome  that they were not posted this time.

  6. Well, they bit good for Zoomie on Thursday while it was still warm(8 carp in 4-5 hours). Then on Friday as the cold wind picked up, the bite dropped off and it took 15 hours for Zoomie to catch 8 carp.

  7. Great write-up Zoomie. We were lucky that we got to fish before the temps dropped down to where they are today. Had a great time and I am looking forward to more sessions with you this year. I am very pleased that we caught some carp before 6am

  8. Yep, you are going to sore mouth 'em and they won't bite tomorrow. Plus you will use your bait up. If the weather gets bad tomorrow we will have an excuse to quit early.

  9. There's a place called Bull Run Steam Plant near Oak Ridge, TN where I have caught more this year. I was stripe fishing with minnows and nightcrawlers and caught some buffalos and common carp in there.

The rules about where you can fish at Bull Run changed this spring when the old plant manager retired. No one is allowed to cross over or underneath the railroad tracks anymore! Anyone caught across the railroad track has gotten a warning for 1st offense and a hefty fine for an subsequent trepassing! This change severely limits the legal bank fishing area at the plant, I don't think it's worthwhile to fish there anymore.

Welcome to the CAG forum Brad.
