Amen...Next time call the local police , a bow is a deadly weapon and is no different than a gun....tell them someone is walking around carrying a bow and you fear for your safety...bet they show up FAST.
Cant wait until they finally do away with this type of harvest of fish...the World will be a better place without these idiots just looking for other ways to kill something.

I'm not sure if I ever posted about this place or not... but it is a reservoir fund by a department of Thailand's King's project... Dug up to holds the water for parts of our city and to guard against the flood... It is also a home of the Department of Fisheries... They breed and stocked the reservoir here... The species that I have heard that are in here includes Mekong catfish, Giant Snakeheads, Siamese carp, barbs, and some other ones that I can't quite remember... It is not a real big place like what you guys are used to, but it is plenty big for me as it is about as wide as Alum Creek!!! and about 2miles long... I spend a few days just driving around and taking notes of the swims, and man they are thick with brushes and FIREANTS!... I spotted a bunch of crashing going on and it definitely was snakeheads...

Yes, it is a catfish... Good thing I didn't hold it because it could actually sting you with its whiskers... lol
Alex, yeah, I read about those Arapaima being caught all the time... I just don't feel like paying that kind of money to be able to fight with one...
ps. I actually ID the fish at a local market later on... I can't imagine myself eating that tiny little catfish though...

Puss!!!I'm afraid I have to pull out as well. I managed to injure my knee last week and I have been stupidly using the pain while packing as a barometer to see if I could endure the trip.
