    Wow! I missed this thread somehow!

    My name is Ak, I used to live in Maumee and Columbus. I have fished at several lakes and rivers around Ohio and the surrounding states. If I can help anyone with any info just ask me.

    OGF is still a good source for spreading the words on carp fishing, trust me. The older folks who I have inspired them into carp fishing are still there and still very active on that forum. I can still get them motivate to go join u guys even though I'm half way across the world. I wouldn't worry about those bowfishin folks, they r just talkers. They wouldn't do shiat to hurt us, trust me. I know them all, heck I know I have fished for carp with alot of those BFers and they quite like it lol. They are just keyboard warrior lmfao.

    BTW, I finally got out to fish this past week. No carp caught, but I did catch a few fish using the method. It's been 4 yrs since I touched any Fishin rod, but I still got the touch.

    Back in the days, we used to post threads about the fish ins or just a group of folks going carping in the state of Ohio on other fishing site. Now I don't see anything there. I know alot of folks in Ohio that are interested in our sport but don't know where to start. All it takes for those of you who are going to fish anywhere public is to go post something there(OGF). I used to do that many years ago and had many people come fishing with me. Alot of them got hooked on carping and went ahead to buy alarms and pods. Some even join the club. Some just comes out whenever I'm fishing because they wanting to learn more. Nowadays I see no interaction with the local fishing website. This could help Ohio fish in to be better and having larger turnout.

    I'm just saying'. I know I'm no longer a member of CAG anymore and have no say in all this. Just wanted to let ya know that there are other resources out there to get more folks interested in our sport.

    I can definitely hook you up with some fish here in Thailand.. Although I haven't been out to fish in awhile, I'm pretty sure I can set you up with a few fish if you do come over.. Let me know..

    BTW the pond here is pretty big, and the fish can definitely run.. Those arapaima are pretty amazing when they come up on the surface.. Looks like a huge submarine.. :rolleyes:
