  1. Well, I had to get back out and see if the day before was just a fluke. Got There around 6:15 or so, baited up and put my rigs out a little further than the day before to see if I could get into the fish that I saw crashing out by the drop off. Hoping they would be the bigger females. Did get a good bite with 10 more carp off of my spot. If my fishin was this week end we would smoke um'. Here's a some of the fish from last night including a real nice 14lb mirror.

  2. Baited up Sunday evening and I was able to get off work a little early yesterday afternoon, so I decided to go and see if the carp were snoopin' around my spot . Got there about 4:00 and put out another 10 lbs of range cubes to get things rolling, set up and it wasn't 30 min. and the fun began. I got a fish about every 15 minutes until about 9:00 when I decided that it was time to go on home and call it a day. The total for the evening 19 carp. Most of the fish were in the low to mid teens with a couple in the upper teens, I also had two doubles which made things interesting. Theses fish were caught on popped up maize and homemade VBN pellets with a grits pack. Here's some of the fish.

  3. Hey there Jerod. I live in KC and am an old float tube guy from way back. I have fished most of the lakes in the area from the float tube over the last 30 or so years. One of the best places to fish for carp from the tube is my home lake middlecreek, about 40 minutes south of KC in louisberg Ks. Middlecreek is a 300 acre lake (+or-) and has some great flats that are very accessable. It has one of the best carp populations for its size in the state. In the KC area Smithville lake, North of KC is an excellent spot but can have quite a bit of boat traffic, Longview lake in the city limits of KC and has an outstanding carp population as does bluesprings lake as well, however both can have considerable boat traffic as they are urban fisheries. PM me and I can let you know which might be the better option for the time you want to fish.

I am having a fishin at Middlecreek on the 24th of May, you should try and make it, I will post the details in the regional section later today. PM me if you are going to be in town and I will help you any way I can!
