  1. I will be doing a class on Puffology before this event. No smoke and mirrors just plain hard puffology truths. I'll also have some other paylakers showing how they do pickups.

    Tom.

Maybe sum one can video tape the class and post the videos on cag for those that cant make it? (Just a thought) :)

  2. slayin'em on thah bunkah!

That's a great fish Rob! do you every drop eels over the side?

    (edit: forgot the congrats!)

    Thanks,

I have tried it all for Baas ,

clams and clam chum= moor action but smaller fish most of the time.

Fresh bunker chunks have caught sum nice ones for me on the north shore of Long Island.

eels, I have tried with no luck but they are best in the fall and at night on the north shore.

Live bunker in the ocean is challenging but results in all large fish.

On long island I have found bait depends on location but if you can find the bunker in the ocean you're in

  3. 35 lb striped bass that is :)

first we went to the ocean and found the bunker schools they wer all over, sum schools wer two hundred feet long so we snagged the bunker and left the bunkers out to swim with the school of bait fish, at times it was hard to stay drifting with the schools of bunker they wer moving fast, the few times we managed to drift with the bunker schools for a short time we caught. We would get in front of the school and shut the boat down then snag bunker as thay pass by and then drift with the school as long as possible. I was the first to land a bass of 35Lb next was buddy, then his sun, we kept fowling the bunker out to see. It was nice being out with their being lots of action and it was an escape from the heat with the cool breeze coming off the ocean. Below I posted sum videos, I Hope you enjoy

  4. If he was keeping them alive he is most likely selling them on the black market to the Chinese fish market they are worth moor alive then deed, They also split them down the in have and display them on a pedicel l and you can see the hart betting for a long time after the fish is deed, I also herd of carp being taken like this on long island for the back door fish markets, You should report this to the dec and tell them the guy is might be selling them to a fish market. You knead a license to do this,

  5. I went out fishing on Memorial Day 2010 with my wife for fluke (summer flounder) the size limit is 21 inches. We did not catch keepers but we did catch about 20 short fluke and sum see robins and two star fishes and a clam and sum see wed. I did not smoke the see weed,

The bait was spearing which a small minnow like bait fish we put one on a hook with a stripe of squid, the rig has a white buck tail that rides over the hook then the hook link gos to a three way swivel with a lead, we drift to cover ground and locate fish after the fish are located I then short drift the spot

After 12:00pm the bay started to resemble the seen from jaws , I hade boats running at me from every direction so I called it a day and heeded for the boat ramp. On the way home the back beam of my boat trailer brook do to corrosion I managed to make it home but now I knead to perches a new boat trailer then I will be all set to hit sum remote carp locations. see videos

  6. I went out to day at 4:00 am for sum saltwater fishing after a failed attempt to catch carp this past week end at a new venue

we seen the bay man casting his net wan he pulled it in it was full of live bunker sow we went up and gave him twenty dollars in return he hands us a bucket full of bunker, all the time he was telling us hurry up hurry up, Time is money for him so we dumped the bunker in the live well and off we went,

we stopped one time on the way to the fishing location wan we seen sum bunker jumping my friend stopped the boat and tryed to snag sum moor bunker for the live well, he snags a bunker but on the way back to the boat a blue fish attacks the bunker and he lands the blue fish. Not wanting to bother with the Purina like blue fish we head of to the next spot. First drift with the live bunker for bait my friends bunker starts jumping out of the water we could see the bunker was being chaste by a bass and after a tail slaps from the striped bass the bunker terns and took the bunker, fish on. Next drift it was my tern, I land a nice bass now we hade caught the two man limit so we proceeded to catch and release six moor bass in till I took the last bunker out of the live well and put the hook throw the nose of the bait fish. I then went to cast the bait out at the same time the rod slips from my hands and falls in the water, my hands wer wet from all the rain and handling the slippery bunker, so I gave my friend $100 for the lost rod and we called it a day. We got back to the boat ramp at 9:30 am. I was happy he had sum fish to eat and I was going home to catch up on sum sleep so I can plane my next fishing day. I also took sum video of the striped bass chasing down the bunker if I can figure out how to post the videos I will do so later.

  7. I decided to mix it up today and I went out with caption Buddy for striped bass. We arrived at the boat ramp at about 5:20 am. The bay was very choppy do to strong wind conditions. The first thing we hade to do is catch live bunker for bait. We had a hart time finding bunker do to the chop on the top of the water. We wer looking and looking for the bunker schools splashing on the top of the water with no luck We wer starting to think we weren’t going to catch live bait we seen the bay man who was out trying to catch bunker with his cast net and he told us that he didn’t catch or see bunker, Wan all of a sudden I spot a splash in the distance we all look and see bunker jumping on top so I take control of the boat and Buddy and pall grab the spinning rods that had the bunker snag on them. On theFirst cast a bunker was snagged before we know it we hade about 12 bunker in the live well and the school of bait fish vanish, so we baited up with the live bunker and buddy lands the first bas, shortly after I land a bass so then we set up a new drifts and I hook in to a nice bass over 20 lb, that was the third bass caught we limited out with one fish per man over 28 inches by 8:30 am.
