As Team sorano would tell you. catching that 17.8 lb carp in western Long Island would = catching a 50 lb carp off of The island. This was not my PB but it's my New Long Island Best .

Also I forgot to tell you in the report I flavored my bait with Pineapple ice cream dip & glug. I puncht out The bread with a small bread punch and then put it on the hair. My Hooks wer from Resistance Tackle, Rth-3 Hooks size 6.

I had started the day at 6:00 am in the morning where I had went to meet up with Sabastian simon at his home. After meeting with him we went to stop for coffee we arrived at the swim to find out it was frozen over so we went to a town park pond near by and the gate was locked so I decided to try a lake that I had fished two times in the summer .

There was some open water so we set up and started fishing. Sabastian tried float fishing with bread and I tried hair riged bread. At 10:50 am my alarm goes off and it's a 17.8 lb carp my first fish of the year.

I ended the day with 8 carps if my math is right thats 73 lb of carp.

Sabastion caught one carp at the end of the day it was a 2.8 lb carp.

The first fishing folly was a great way to start the new year.

Yes the blues cut the line with one bite. I catch them on long island with 50 lb, hook link and a cercul hook and bunker for bait .Wen I was a kid this was fun but now wen I fish for bass thay are a pain in the but after each Blue you have to replace your Hook link .. This one was caught by my friend on the fly rod with his bunker fly........

Crus down the bob on a hook and wen you get to the swim catch one or two duck on bread and then thay will stay away.

I have tryed to reduce my photos with no luck. I am not that good with the computer. I will onley post two or 3 photos intill I lern how to resize photos ....

I went fishing with capten silver . I got up at 4:30 am, and met up with capten silver. We seen sum bunker on top and snaged sum for the live well. Then we live liend the bunker and caught 9 stripedbass . We allso caught sum blue fish but thay cut the line with Thair sharp teath. It was a nice day in the rain. I hade sun of my best days fishing in the rain with capten silver. Wen it rains it's time to fish with capten silver..... The bite was off after 11:30 am. The 2nd photo is the bunker school you can see splashing on the top.....
