  1. I have bin keeping a fishing log starting 2001 although in those day mostly salt water and fly fishing log with tides, moon faze, weather, baits, fishing partners, Gps number and fish caught. my fresh water logs even have drawings of swims . I also keep a deer hunting log with drawings of maps and location's however I slaked off on that over the past 3 years.

  2. I am sorry to say Alex is correct; big Carp on long Island and also small carp are few and far between. I am also getting tiered of driving all over New York State to find carp when I have great Saltwater fishing down the road.

  5. Finale Hade some time and did some trout fishing with my old work partner Bob. Action was slow but Bob magnet to get two trouts that were safely returned to grow bigger and fight another day. We also seen a fellow carp angler set up on the other side with his rods and pod, he looked familiar but we kept our distance, did not want to spook his spot with our nosey row boat. post-2875-0-39100800-1400970891_thumb.jp

  6. No time for carp fishing lately so I took my little girl down to the pond for some pan fish action. We used a fly nymph tipped with cut worms. As my daughter was playing a small blue gill I saw a bass that was sizing up the bluegill. So with some fast thinking I pulled in the blue gill that was not going to fit down the basss gulley and tipped the fly nymph with a live worm and throw it back out, The Bass took the bait! post-2875-0-19484600-1399743595_thumb.jpNo

  7. Also, speaking of pickups and bait, robm and I a few years ago fished a body of water together. we spodded out particles and used chic pea's on a hair. flavored of course. we actually had to rest and take our lines out of the water because we couldn't handle the bites anymore. No puffs used. rob and I actually lost count on how many carp we caught in one session. It was literally a massacre. I don't see how the bites could have gone faster than that. again no puffs used or packbait. I do use pack in my fishing though. and I believe it causes more bites. Im just trying to figure out the pick up situation is all.

Yes, that was insane that day! Team, I sent you an E mail.
