    New personal best for float fishing.

    Its bin very hard for me to get out for fishing nowadays so after not being able to go to ED Wagner’s fishing in I finale had a chance to get out for the 2nd time this year. I decided to grabbed my float rod and go to a lake that I have been studying for some time. This would be me sixth time fishing the lake and not one carp yet. On my arrival I discovered the section of lake I was going to fish was weeded up with lots of green snot like weeds this made it difficult. I already knew the location that I was going to fish was soft silt and the snot weed as I learned on previous trips. When I arrived I seen carp in the swim so the first thing I did was throw some bate in the water then set up. After I set up and did some fine tuning and hade the rod in my hand and was setting the float when all of a sudden the rod almost got yanked from my hand, I set the hook and the fish was on I was so excited to finale be catching a carp from this hard water.

    Before I knew it I was back in the water and watching bubbles around my float, I was having lots of line bites and all of a sudden I get a bite, not a run like the first carp but a bite and I set the hook and felt the drag running out before I knew it the carp was on the mat, a carp of about 16 lbs. Now I had hope that the venue might contain larger specimen’s.

    Finale the sun was starting to go down and I had lots of carp in the swim, lots of line bites but I didn’t set the hook on those finale my float told me it was time to set the hook and I did, Fish on as my line started peeling of the line I was in to a fight. I played the fish back and forth as it took line several times I knew it was a good fish, finale the carp was tiered and as I got it closer to the net I realized I was going to need the bigger net that I did not bring. I struggled to get the carp into my small net and I was very surprised and excited about what I was looking at. As I lifted the carp out of the water I seed YES this is close to 30. The carp turned out to be 26lb and my new personal best for float fishing. YES!!

    Look like good kids just need some guidance but hey would rather see them trying to fish and making mistakes then messing with drugs and other BS so if You can get to to your fish in and help them learn thats good stuff

    Yes they did show up at the fish in I gave them some tips and showed them some of my tackle and told them about the cag forum. In the video below I can see thae need a sling. Does anyone have an old one laying around they would like donate for them. If so pm me for shipping address.
