    Sometimes you see a post on here where you feel compelled to reply - this is one such post! Definitely couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke - huge congrats Mr Kirkman!!!! May you continue to have tight lines & screamin' reels Sir!!!!

    Somehow I missed this until now, though I heard about the fish from the man himself at the ATC. Congrats and great fish Jim!

    It was great meeting you and I'd love to share a bank sometime.

    That was a large fish...Steve is not kidding, this thing fought 100% like a big male carp. Constant FAST (not like buffalo usually) drag-stripping runs, solid one toner on the alarm, covered a good 50 yards of real estate several times. I was extremely shocked when I saw it was a buff.

    Steve left out one of the best parts...he won a nice chunk of pocket money with this fish (buff side pot). B)

    Thank you Scott for putting on a great event. I know you did a lot of work, as well as Tiffany, and it showed.

    Thanks John for sponsoring us; we'll do you prouder next time! If you're only gonna catch one fish, I guess the biggest one of the tournament is OK. Congrats Steve :)

    Congrats Mike and Augie, I am truly in awe.

    Congrats Mihai on the big carp, you guys are cool as heck and a blast to talk to (and learn from).

    Great meeting everyone that I hadn't met before, as well as some of my best fishing buddies. I had a great time despite our results and can't wait until next year.

    Also, as far as I know, the ATC does not involve the pitching of any tents, so I should get my poles in the water sometime before noon.

    I gotta stop smacking myself...

    If past experience tell us anything it's that Steve will catch 10 fish to every 1 of mine, but I will walk away with the biggest one. B)

    I am also frightfully lazy...I tried to warn you Steve-o.
