Great stuff, love the big shoulders on those carp!

Nice fish!
Your "pose" looks just fine to me.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow.

Outstanding capture Cap!!

Two doubles on video...priceless.
Great vid!

Outstanding smallmouth sir! I love smallies, probably my favorite "game fish" species.

This is a good thread. I've been lucky enough to never have anyone show hostility when they find out what I'm after. On the contrary, it seems most of the people here in Texas seem genuinely interested in all the strange gear and alarms and stuff, and many times they'll hang out with you on the bank for a while and just watch and chat. I have gotten a few strange looks when they ask what I'm fishing for, but I've never encountered any open negativity.

Nice fish fellas, it's always fun to try new spots.
And that is one beastly grasser, congrats!

Awesome stuff Rick and big congrats to the kids!

Give em hell sir!

Very cool, nice fish!
And I agree, a bass just looks weird held Euro-style.

Now that is an awesome report, love seeing anglers converted to the dark side by catching big fish.
Well done!

Interesting stuff. I would like to get into fly fishing at some point, would love to go out with you sometime, although a little birdie told me that if I learn fly casting from you, I could be in for some bad habits to break in the future.
Good luck getting that koi and on your buff quest! Also, is this the koi I think it is...from that pond?

Happy birthday to the UC, hope you get all the doggie biscuits and carp slime you can handle.

That's a beast, congrats!

I don't know what a signal crayfish is but I used to catch huge crayfish back in Illinois all the time on dough bait. That particular pond didn't have any turtles, but the crayfish and the shad made up for them.

Good God man, that run was epic!
And that fish looked the part too, long lean fightin machine.

I've caught more brokeback carp this year already than my entire carping life put together. I always have a tough time holding them, what with the weird shape and me feeling like I'm gonna break them.

Great report and I love the LSCB shirt Dale.
And heckuva nice mirror Joe, WTG!
Never thought I'd see someone even bigger than Mr. Strickland...

These videos are freaking awesome, makes me want to go fishing right now!

Love the videos Kev, and your editing skills are superb, keep em coming!

Holy cow, now that's a pig!
Congrats

Back in my bass fishing days on the Mississippi River in Illinois we would run into enormous clouds of these things in the late spring. Very painful and messy going through those things at 40-50 miles an hour in a boat!

Love it!
As others have said, it's always great to put a face to a name. And I expect a full scientific report on the mysterious Plug soon.

Great story and congrats to young Matthew. I sense some Ol' Cap influence in your writing!
