Great story and wonderful pics. Thanks for sharing.

Definitly the 12 ft carp rods ( 3 to 2 3/4 tc ) are the best at throwing out a loaded feeder. I bought the Ron Thomson carp rod from Wackers and I really like the quality of the rod for bucks I paid . I use a 9ft Ugly Stick for a stalker rod ( you can use a smaller feeder) or just wad some pak bait right around the hair rig, if your just pitching it out a short distance.

Great pics and awesome fish.

Thanks
That is a wonder. I have seen illustrations of this incredable creature. The photos showning it in it's natural colouration are spectacular.
Thanks again.

I've had the pleasure of helping out a young angler twice now under similar circumstances. The one lad landed an 18 pounder for his first fish. The boys father, who didn't fish, but would drop his son off to fish, used to bring me a coffee as a way of saying thanks.

Hi Guys
I can vouch for the fact that where there is one species of fish you can find others . My brother has one of those underwater video cameras and you can quite often see different types of fish in one small area. Perch, rock bass, carp and smallies all together. And I have seen perch, bluegills and carp all feeding off the same thing( which happened to be daphnia). I believe that fish do congregate where the conditions favour them. It's the old saying that 10% of the waters contain 90% of the fish. If only I knew where that 10% was on any given day.
