[Trilene Big Game]

I have used Berkley BG a lot. BUT, it does't last long in my experience. Knot strength deteriorates rapidly with heavy sun exposure. Change it often, and you won't have a problem.

Right now I'm using Daiwa Sensor. Lasts much much longer...

It sinks like a brick. Bonus IMO. Good price tag to.

Hey guys... Lovely spring day today!!

I made it out. I had a total of 4 runs. I lost the first fish to a snag. Banked the other three. All the takes were in the morning. The afternoon was quiet. I used an in line run rig/ hair combo. I threaded sweet corn on the hair and pulleted a few handfuls for freebies.

Damn cormorant flew into my line. Took at least 50 meters of line and backlashed me big time.

but first real session will be on the grand river next weekend !!!

I fish all months of the year for carp but I love fishing for them in the spring the most and have the best results. I like to consider my session last weekend my 'first' spring session as it was really mild out. It reached 13C at one point. We were down to our t-shirts for part of the day. I even caught some fish.
